Citizens Downgrades $PEGA to Market Perform from Market Outperform
Key points: 1) the company commented in the press release, 'Unprecedented changes in the AI market caused clients to delay their purchasing decisions… These factors may continue to adversely affect the ACV growth rate for the rest of the year';
2) the disclosure broadly echoes IBM’s July 14 preliminary Q2 update, in which IBM said shifting client capital-spending priorities altered buying patterns, while rapidly evolving cybersecurity concerns distracted clients and contributed to numerous large deals failing to close on expected timelines; and
3) at PegaWorld 2026 on June 8, in response to a question about AI adoption in the enterprise, CEO Alan Trefler replied, 'There’s still an enormous amount of confusion here, and it’s going to take months and quarters for the confusion to abate.'"
