Dolly Parton had a remarkable way of making everyone feel like a neighbor.
Over the years, Walmart had the privilege of partnering with Dolly in so many ways. But the moments we'll remember most weren't about a product or a stage. They were the moments when her heart for people came through.
In 2024, we stood together in East Tennessee as communities began recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Dolly was there for her neighbors, just as she'd been so many times before.
That was Dolly: larger than life, but always close to home.
Her legacy reaches far beyond country music. It's in the books placed in children's hands, the communities she lifted up, the laughter she sparked and the countless people she inspired to be a little kinder to one another.
We are deeply grateful to have called Dolly a partner and a friend.
She will be greatly missed and forever loved. 💙
