OpenAI said on Tuesday that it was adding two new members to its board of directors, Nubank CEO David Vélez and Bank of New York Mellon CEO Robin Vince.
“David and Robin are exceptional leaders who have used technology to reshape financial services and expand opportunity at global scale,” Bret Taylor, OpenAI’s board chairman, said in a statement included in the [announcement](https://openai.com/index/david-velez-robin-vince-join-openai-boards/). “Their experience will be invaluable as OpenAI serves more businesses and people around the world, working to ensure AI benefits everyone.”
Nubank is the largest digital bank in Latin America, while BNY is an American financial services company. OpenAI has sought to court business customers, including financial institutions, as it works to expand its enterprise revenue. Last month, OpenAI [announced](https://openai.com/index/codex-for-every-role-tool-workflow/) a “public equity investing plugin” and “investment banking plugin” for ChatGPT.
