Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), as popularized by Gartner 1 , has rightly earned its status as the darling of modern enterprise security, providing an elegant way to secure cloud-bound traffic and SaaS applications. But while the industry has been building security tunnels up to the cloud, a quiet crisis has been brewing on the ground floor.
