不做 AES-KY(6781.TW)

Battery backup (BBU) module demand from AI servers continued to rise in June, supporting revenue growth at Taiwanese suppliers AES-KY, Simplo Technology and STL. These companies have also been expanding capacity to meet customer orders, with additional output expected to support further business growth.
BBU is not a standard feature in AI servers, but it has already been adopted by more than three major US cloud service providers (CSPs) and is continuing to gain share, according to sources. In response, several battery module makers have accelerated investment in production lines, while cell makers in South Korea have also been expanding and working with Taiwanese module suppliers to serve CSP customers.
AES-KY, a subsidiary of the Simplo Group focused on BBU and electric bicycle battery modules, reported June revenue of NT$1.685 billion, up 5.28% from May and 25.58% year over year. Revenue for the first six months reached NT$9.337 billion, an annual increase of 26%.
Simplo Technology posted June revenue of NT$1.268 billion, up 9.03% month-over-month and 20.63% year-over-year, with first-half revenue reaching NT$6.835 billion, up 21.8% from a year earlier. STL reported May revenue of NT$415 million, rising 37.31% from April and 178.64% from the same month last year.
Industry executives said AI data centers are adopting BBU more widely because it offers higher efficiency, is closer to the server, supports hot-swapping, and is more environmentally friendly than the uninterruptible power supply systems used in earlier data centers.
