The three Taiwanese supply chain categories closest to the physical AI rack — thermal, power supply, and rail kits — booked combined August revenue of NT$121.48 billion (US$3.86 billion), according to monthly filings with the Market Observation Post System (MOPS). The growth rates behind it diverge sharply: rail kits rose 191.2% from a year earlier, thermal 58.4%, and power supply 32.5%. The spread maps where rack-scale deployment is binding.

Thermal: the liquid cooling conversion is doing the work
Thermal suppliers booked NT$29.03 billion, up 58.4% year-on-year but only 1.5% from July. Asia Vital Components accounted for most of it at NT$19.48 billion, up 54.3% year-on-year, with eight-month revenue of NT$136.23 billion, up 76.1%. Chief financial officer Yi-cheng Chen told an investor conference that liquid cooling demand continues to rise as GPU and ASIC orders arrive, and that capital spending will reach about NT$15 billion this year, higher next year.
Citi said the August figure confirmed the earlier GPU platform-transition drag has ended, with the volume ramp of AI ASIC projects now the main driver. Daiwa Securities put liquid cooling at 30% to 40% of Asia Vital's revenue this year, and expects penetration at one ASIC customer to rise from roughly 10% now to more than 50% in 2027.
The flat month masks strength elsewhere. Jentech grew 90.9% year-on-year and Kaori Heat Treatment 112.8%, with Kaori's thermal energy products up 158.1% year-to-date. Auras rose 67.2% year-on-year but fell 16.6% from July on an elevated base, after June orders slipped on shipping schedules; chairman Yu-shen Lin said November and December will be the year's operating peak as new ASIC and GPU products ship.
Power supply: the slowest grower, facing the biggest architectural change
Power suppliers booked NT$84.18 billion, up 32.5% year-on-year but down 2.2% from July, the softest of the three. Delta Electronics, at NT$64.59 billion, grew 34.9% year-on-year. Chairman Ping Cheng said AI data centers are now the company's largest growth driver, and that capacity remains tight due to component shortages and the pace of AI demand. Capital spending will reach NT$70 billion this year, funding expansion across China, Taiwan, Thailand, and the US.
Lite-On Technology reported NT$19.59 billion, up 25.2% year-on-year, on AI and cloud server power and battery backup modules. General manager Sen-pin Chiu said AI-related revenue should exceed 30% of the total in 2026, and that the company is working with Wolfspeed on silicon carbide MOSFETs for a next-generation 800VDC sidecar power platform.
That is why the slow growth may mislead. Nvidia says 800VDC distribution supports rack densities beyond 1MW, and that racks are moving from tens of kilowatts to well over 100, with a megawatt per rack on the horizon. Power content per rack looks set to rise faster than rack count.
Rail kits: growth that scales with rack count
Rail kits, at NT$8.27 billion, were the fastest-growing category in the whole 49-company set, up 191.2% year-on-year and 2.8% from July. King Slide supplied NT$6.47 billion of that, up 344.4%, attributing the jump in its filing to new products shipping. Executive vice president Chun-chiang Wang said more than 90% of the product mix is now server products, and that two further phases of its Chuan-I site will break ground at the end of 2026, one and a half to two years earlier than planned.
Fositek grew 29.1% year-on-year and is raising quick-disconnect monthly capacity by 50% from October. Nan Juen International rose 37.7%, citing continued shipments of GB-series AI server rails to cloud customers alongside warming general server rail demand.
Rails scale with the number of racks rather than the value inside them, so the category tracks rack shipments closely. TrendForce estimated on August 28 that NVL72 rack shipments will grow more than 50% year-on-year in 2027.
