不做 三星SDS(018260.KS)

Samsung SDS partners with OpenAI and Anthropic in AI push

Samsung SDS used its REAL Summit 2026 to unveil a "multi-dimensional AI full stack" strategy, expanding its AI business from enterprise IT and cloud adoption into enterprise AI agents, AI security and physical AI. The company is deepening cooperation with OpenAI and Anthropic as it pushes from AI selection and systems integration into day-to-day operations.
CEO Junehee Lee said Samsung SDS has broadened its work with OpenAI from generative AI deployment into enterprise AX and cybersecurity. Beyond earlier ChatGPT Enterprise consulting for corporate customers, the company has recently become the first South Korean pilot partner in OpenAI's "Daybreak Partner Program," using advanced models to help enterprises detect, verify, and patch security vulnerabilities.
OpenAI partnership expands into enterprise cybersecurity
A Samsung SDS insider said Daybreak involves internal system vulnerability testing and remediation, which carries significant cybersecurity risk, so OpenAI sets a very high bar for partner security capabilities. To win the pilot role, Samsung SDS went through about 3-4 months of testing and verification, including internal system tests, results submissions, and demonstrations of how vulnerabilities were found and fixed, along with the required specialist staff.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman also said in a video message at REAL Summit 2026 that AI agents are beginning to enter enterprise operations and are having a tangible, positive effect on productivity, with adoption set to accelerate further. He said Samsung SDS has a deep understanding of how complex enterprises actually operate and what it takes to successfully implement new technology, making it an important partner.
AI agents move from experimentation to enterprise operations
Samsung SDS's work with Anthropic is aimed at expanding enterprise AX services and new business models. The two companies signed a strategic partnership agreement in July 2026 in San Francisco, marking the first such strategic tie-up between Anthropic and a South Korean company. Samsung SDS has already rolled out Claude Enterprise to 20 Samsung affiliates and about 70,000 employees, building internal experience in enterprise AI adoption.
A Samsung SDS insider said the company's cooperation with OpenAI, Anthropic and other global AI players is not limited to models. It wants to start by defining customer problems, combining industry expertise to choose the right AI technology, and then extending that into system building and operations.
The company plans to train more than 200 frontline engineers, or FDEs, in 2026 to work on-site with customers and drive AX adoption.
Beyond its digital AI strategy, Samsung SDS also announced a robot transformation, or RX, strategy. It plans to combine 25 years of experience in manufacturing execution systems, or MES, and manufacturing automation with physical AI and robotics technology.
Samsung SDS currently serves about 430 manufacturing companies, and Samsung Group affiliates operate more than 1,000 production lines. The company said its long-built manufacturing data and MES capabilities are key competitive strengths.
The company expects to launch its "Robot Orchestration" platform in 2027, using the platform to integrate and control robots from different manufacturers in real time. If one robot fails, the system can detect the anomaly and assign another robot to take over, reducing the risk that an entire factory will stall because of a single equipment breakdown.
Facing competition from China's robotics ecosystem, Samsung SDS said South Korea still trails the US and China in robot hardware, but local companies retain strengths in robot integration, factory-floor validation, training data and model simulation.
On one hand, Samsung SDS is incorporating Chinese hardware into its RX ecosystem, including cooperation with Chinese robotic hand technology company Wuji Technology. On the other hand, it has formed the "Team REX" robotics alliance, linking 10 physical AI companies including Rainbow Robotics, Walden Robotics, Aei ROBOT and NdotLight, to combine technical strengths across countries and companies.
Samsung SDS also unveiled several industry-related AX success cases at the event and introduced a new AI feature under its Brity Works enterprise collaboration solution called "Cowork." The feature is designed to do more than answer questions: it understands user work goals and can independently plan workflows such as data research, report writing, email sending and schedule logging. It is scheduled for commercial launch in October 2026.
