Q3 beat is all but banked'(利好已被计入)。

ASE August revenue tops NT$80 billion record as AI packaging capacity stays sold out

ASE Technology Holding's revenue surpassed NT$80 billion (US$2.5 billion) for the first time in August 2026, as AI continued to drive demand for both advanced and conventional semiconductor packaging and testing.
Looking ahead, ASE said order momentum for its packaging and testing business remains strong, with customers already booking out new capacity before it comes online.
Driven by computing and communications applications, ASE expects its 2026 revenue from advanced packaging and testing, which it refers to as its Leading-Edge Advanced Packaging (LEAP) business, to exceed its previous forecast of US$3.5 billion. As additional capacity begins contributing, the company has also set a target of doubling LEAP revenue in 2027.
Conventional packaging and testing is likewise performing better than expected, prompting ASE to raise its annual growth forecast for the business from 13% to 20%.
AI demand keeps capacity in short supply
With AI-related demand surging and packaging and testing capacity remaining in short supply, ASE recently announced that it would raise its 2026 capital expenditure to US$10.5 billion, equivalent to approximately NT$341.7 billion, to expand investment in facilities, machinery, and equipment.
The increase comes as capacity added by the group over the past three years has been almost entirely absorbed within a single year. Most of the additional capacity scheduled to come online over the next three years has also already been reserved by customers.

ASE posted consolidated revenue of NT$82.247 billion in August, up 11.47% sequentially and 45.66% year-over-year, setting a record high for the second consecutive month.
Cumulative consolidated revenue for January through August reached NT$520.756 billion, the highest ever for the period and an increase of 27.98% from a year earlier.

The company's assembly, testing, and materials (ATM) business generated August revenue of NT$51.287 billion, up 7.9% sequentially and 53.1% year-over-year.
Benefiting from strong LEAP demand, ASE expects its ATM gross margin to exceed 30% in the fourth quarter, surpassing what it has regarded as the business's structural ceiling.
With monthly revenue continuing to climb in July and August, successively surpassing the NT$70 billion and NT$80 billion marks, ASE expects third-quarter consolidated revenue to increase 21–22% sequentially, assuming an exchange rate of NT$31.9 to the US dollar.
Third-quarter gross margin is projected at 20.5–21.5%, while operating margin is expected to range between 11.5% and 12.5%.
