Foxconn revenue climbs on AI server demand, outlook improves

Foxconn said August sales rose sharply from a year earlier as demand for AI servers and related hardware continued to lift its cloud and networking business. The latest update suggests the global electronics supply chain remains supported, even as investors closely watch shifts in trade, policy, and consumer demand.
Foxconn posted August 2026 revenue of NT$921.766 billion (approx. US$29.13 billion) on September 5, a 51.98% increase year-over-year, despite a 2.61% decline from July. In US dollar terms, revenue rose about 39.4% from a year earlier. Cumulative revenue for January through August reached NT$6.51 trillion, up 39.73% year-over-year.
The company said visibility for the third quarter of 2026 has improved compared with July, and performance is likely to beat market expectations. It added that demand for AI in the third quarter continued to expand, while ICT products entered the traditional second-half peak season, and operations gradually warmed up.
Foxconn also cautioned investors to monitor changes in the global political and economic environment, underscoring continuing uncertainty for technology makers with large international exposure.
By product line, cloud and networking products and components and other products posted strong month-over-month growth in August, supported by robust AI product pull-in demand and higher revenue from key business-related components and other sales. Smart consumer products fell slightly from July as the business moved through a transition between old and new products, while computer terminal products declined on weaker pull-in demand.
On a year-over-year basis, all four major product categories grew. Cloud and networking products, smart consumer products, and components and other products all recorded strong annual growth, while computer terminal products also rose significantly on stronger pull-in demand and higher shipment prices.
For the January-August period, cloud and networking products and components and other products posted strong year-over-year growth. Smart consumer products and computer terminal products also recorded significant gains, indicating that momentum from AI servers, components, and consumer electronics continued to build.
Market watchers said the slight monthly decline in smart consumer products may be temporary, as a major customer has scheduled a new product launch for September 9, with sales expected to begin in mid-September. Foxconn, which has secured orders for high-end new products, is expected to see consumer electronics revenue recover from September as shipments enter their seasonal peak.
