不做 英伟达(NVDA.US)
Sharon AI(SHAZ.US)

Nvidia reportedly expands financing push with revenue-sharing model for AI cloud providers

Nvidia is deepening its role in the AI infrastructure market by offering financial guarantees to emerging GPU cloud providers in exchange for a share of their future cloud revenue, according to The Information . The initiative is designed to help smaller cloud operators secure financing for costly AI chips while reducing Nvidia's dependence on hyperscale customers.
The program—internally dubbed the "AI Compute Partnership"—allows Nvidia to guarantee payments for unused GPU capacity, making it easier for cloud providers with weaker credit profiles to obtain loans for AI infrastructure. Participants, including Firmus and Sharon AI, said Nvidia would rent back idle GPUs if demand falls short, while receiving a declining share of cloud revenue over the life of the contract.
The strategy builds on Nvidia's broader effort to cultivate a new generation of "neocloud" providers as major cloud companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Google increasingly develop their own AI chips.
Nvidia formally unveiled the initiative on July 2, 2026, saying the model is intended to lower financing barriers for AI startups, enterprises, and regional cloud providers by aligning infrastructure costs with future revenue rather than requiring large upfront capital commitments. The first deployments include Sharon AI in Australia and Firmus Technologies in Indonesia.
The new approach also marks an evolution in Nvidia's long-running financial support for AI infrastructure companies. According to Reuters , Nvidia invested US$2 billion in GPU cloud provider CoreWeave earlier this year while expanding a partnership aimed at accelerating more than 5GW of AI data center capacity by 2030.
Industry analysts say the initiative could give Nvidia a steadier stream of recurring income beyond hardware sales. According to Barron's , the revenue-sharing structure gives Nvidia exposure to customers' long-term cloud usage while helping offset concerns that demand could slow as major technology companies pursue custom AI silicon.
The financing push comes as competition in AI cloud services intensifies. Meta is reportedly preparing to launch its own cloud business to sell excess AI computing capacity, a move that could put it in direct competition with independent GPU cloud providers that have traditionally relied on hyperscale customers for demand.
Despite those competitive pressures, demand for AI computing reportedly remains robust. CoreWeave has continued signing multi-year agreements with major AI developers, including Meta and Anthropic, while raising its capital expenditure outlook to expand capacity, underscoring continued investment across the AI infrastructure ecosystem.
