不做 京东方A(000725.SZ)

Following the launch of Apple's first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, combined sales momentum from Samsung Electronics, Huawei Technologies, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and Motorola is expected to drive global foldable smartphone shipments above 27 million units in 2026.
The increase in foldable smartphone shipments is also expected to benefit related component suppliers, including hinge and flexible display manufacturers. In the display segment, some research firms expect global foldable smartphone panel shipments to grow by more than 20% in 2026 from 2025.
Shipments of book-style foldable smartphones, which open and close horizontally, have recently been strong. Samsung's launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, its first foldable device with a wide-fold design, has further pushed this form factor toward the mainstream.
According to the latest data from Counterpoint Research, global foldable smartphone panel shipments fell by nearly 13% in the first half of 2026 from the same period in 2025, mainly attributed to weaker demand for clamshell-style panels, while demand for inner display panels used in book-style foldable smartphones continued to grow.
In terms of supplier performance, Samsung remained the clear leader in foldable inner display panel supply in the first half of the year, accounting for nearly 51% of the market, followed by BOE Technology Group with nearly 30%. The share of shipments for inner display panels for book-style foldables also rose to nearly 78%, underscoring the form factor's growing dominance.
Looking ahead, Counterpoint Research expects foldable smartphone panel shipments to increase 23% in 2026 from 2025, driven by Apple, Samsung, and Huawei. Shipments in the second half of 2026 are expected to rise 53% from the first half, representing year-over-year growth of as much as 71%.
In terms of procurement of inner display panels for book-style foldable smartphones, Samsung is expected to remain in the top spot with a 33% market share, while Huawei is estimated to account for 25%. Apple is quickly catching up and is projected to account for nearly 27% of foldable panel demand this year, ranking second. The three major brands are expected to jointly account for nearly 86% of the market.
