不做 安森美(ON.US)

Onsemi is selling two manufacturing facilities in the Philippines and the US to cut fixed costs, streamline its global production network and improve gross margins under its Fab Right strategy.
The US power and sensing chipmaker, whose products are used in electric vehicles, industrial automation and AI data centers, will sell its Tarlac, Philippines, facility to Taiwan-based packaging and testing specialist Greatek Electronics, Reuters reported. The transaction is expected to close within three to six months, subject to customary approvals.
Onsemi will also divest its Mountain Top, Pennsylvania, facility to Sweden-based Silex Microsystems, with closing scheduled for January 2028. The longer timeline is designed to give Onsemi time to shift production to other sites in its network and avoid disruption to customer supply.
The company did not disclose financial terms. The two sales are expected to generate about US$35 million in annual cost savings, with initial benefits starting in 2027 and the full savings realized in 2028.
Fab Right shifts focus to efficient capacity
Under Fab Right, Onsemi is concentrating resources on manufacturing operations it considers more competitive, scalable and aligned with its long-term technology priorities, Business Insider reported.
Both facilities will continue operating during their transition periods. Onsemi has also signed a long-term supply agreement with Greatek to support ongoing production and customer commitments after the Tarlac transaction closes.
The divestitures come as chipmakers continue to rebalance manufacturing footprints after uneven semiconductor demand. For Onsemi, the goal is clear: remove lower-return fixed costs, protect customer supply and push more production into a leaner manufacturing network.
