关键理由

[17:30] Of course on those auctions healthy as far as the two year tenor and beyond that, well, not so healthy, we have the two year yield down almost three basis.
[17:30] PoinAnd the10 year yield still above 460. that 30 year yield is coming down, though ever so slightly that we're still well above 5,10.
[17:30] 🎼Let's get to some individual market movers now here'sloe Me Good morning are this chip.😊
[17:30] Extending in free market trading this morning, as you mentioned, they are worries over just how much progress China is making in advanced chip making and also.😊
[17:30] Those concerns around this sustainability of AI spending and this circular of financing. And so we are seeing all of those names quite firmly in the.
[17:30] This morning Sandisk,l, Intel and Qm very much taking a hit this morning moving on the two jo and Johnson, which is up.
[17:30] In pre market trading after agreeing to pay $5.5 billion to settle claims that were related to.😊
[17:31] varian cancer cases because of some of its products. And so this removes overhang on the stock litigation that had really put pressure on the shares for.😊
[17:31] so the removal of that is lifting Joseph Johnson this morning. And finally, Barclay's here in London is taking a bit of a hit.😊
[17:31] Despite some very strong equities trading, the problem there was that Wall Street banks had set the bar just so high that it was quite difficult.
[17:31] European investment banks actually hit that same bar and so we are seeing some of that disappointment there for Barclays this morning down.😊
[17:31] % in London. All right, Chloe, thank you so much, Chloe Mee there markets, pricing in rate hikes sooner now, as we.😊
[17:31] The Fed's decision tomorrow joining us is Henrietta Pimal fixed incomecome CoO at Allspring Global Investments quite.
[17:31] No0 chance that we'll get no hold tomorrow. In fact, we might get a hike. Henrietta, At what point will the Fed feel.
[17:31] Hed to hike, do we have enough data that would allow them to hike. It's going to be really interesting to see what happened.
[17:32] Tomorrow for a variety of reasons, at this point in time, De is actually quite hard to read right given the moves that we've seen.😊
[17:32] You know oil is easing off a little bit over the last couple of days, but you had a spike there, you've got the potential.😊
[17:32] Affect of Val Nino that might feed in later in the year, and we're seeing strong signs on the economic side.
[17:32] A number of data points that could lead to a hike at the moment if you look at what's priced in.😊
[17:32] We don't have a hike price in for tomorrow, but we do have hikes price between now and a year end.
[17:32] In that context as well, obviously we've had feedback from the Fed chair Walsh and the staff.
[17:32] That he wants to give and less forward guidance going forwards, and so it'll be really interesting to see what comes out of tomorrow.😊
[17:33] I just want to read a quote from Frank Flight of Citadels Securities, he's expressing what some in the market do believe, quote the market.
[17:33] May once again be underestimating the extent of the hawk shift at the Fed, a hike this week would emphatically end the forward guidance era.
[17:33] I suppose what that's getting to, Henrietta is that there are other reasons potentially for hiking than just showing off your inflation, fighting credential.
[17:33] Would it be enough for the Fed to hike in order to prove that, for example, the forward guidance?
[17:33] over or would it have to be just in response to the data. So I think if there is a hike tomorrow.
[17:33] cement going forward that they will be less forward guidance because I think that would be a surprise.
[17:33] For the market and I'm not entirely sure that the market will like to see a hike tomorrow, so I think that would definitely cement his credential.
[17:33] And what he's been saying so far. Henry, are these auction that we've been seeing, fairly healthy, three month notes.
[17:34] Your notes, but then beyond that, investors seem to still be baing, what exactly are investors expressing here?
[17:34] I think if you look at our portfolios, we're certainly focus on the sort of shorter to intermediate areas of the curve.
[17:34] And we're a lot more cautious on the long end. A variety of reasons for that. Obviously, it's a bit of a safety valve.
[17:34] The markets, when they get anxious about inflation, when they get anxious about deficits. And we've also seen a fair amount of.
[17:34] Isuance there and what's interesting is not just your sovereigns that are issuing in that space. Obviously, it's one of the areas ofity.
[17:34] Of the hyperscales as well. So you're getting corporate issuance in the long end. So a lot of reasons to make the technicals.
[17:34] On the long end of the curve, a little more difficult at this point in time, we got a headline just a moment ago that Meta and Blackrock are developing a data center campus.
[17:35] In el Paso, Texas, curious as to what you think about the amount of volume that we're seeing basically in terms of.
[17:35] Isuance in order to fund all of these data centers, these campuses and all of the expansion that we're seeing, Henrietta, I mean, are you at?
[17:35] any ofSo it's big, right, The volume is huge and.
[17:35] apping all areas of the market, which I think is really interesting. They're going to the Ig market, they're going to the high yield market. you're also seeing.
[17:35] issuance that's linked to this development in the structured product, area, private market, you name it.😊
[17:35] It really is pretty broad, not only that, they're not just tapping the markets in dollars, but across other currencies as well.😊
[17:35] You can see why there's a little bit of indigestion at this point in time, so this is something that we have expected.
[17:35] The companies have guided that they're looking to issue to fund this development, so it's not unexpected.
[17:36] But the volume is needs to be digested and what we've seen over the last few days is quite interesting. We've had sort of spikes in yield.
[17:36] Look at March, look at the sort of end of May as well in that space, but it's taken a bit of an acceleration.😊
[17:36] That's really what we've been expecting.
[17:36] Ping for that you have a bit of volatility and spreads so that we can tap into these interesting yields and I think our folks.😊
[17:36] at this point is going to be in the primary market primary market Also you know, we're not just concentrated on the Fed this week, we have the BE.
[17:36] So the BOJ as well, not that we're expecting a move just yet, but are you seeing anything interesting globally that you're trying to take advantage of right now?
[17:36] So from a global perspective, and what is the diversification ask?😊
[17:37] InWe are to portfolios really tapping into that so that we have.
[17:37] And this week, BJ.
[17:37] Same thing you do have some hikes that are priced in between now and year end in both spaces there.
[17:37] To seeing obviously what the growth picture looks like in Europe there as wellrie.
[17:37] What is your maybe an unfair question, but your forecast for the 10 year yields towards the year end.
[17:37] So it's been interesting to see the sort of behavior over the last few days.😊
[17:37] We touched 470 in the ten0 year in the last couple of days, that's when we were still sort of seeing stroke.😊
[17:37] In the the Strras of Hos, we've sort of come off the boil a little bit. so we're going to have to.
[17:38] Watch what happens, I think as I mentioned at the start, some of the data is going to be hard to read, given some of the uncertainty.
[17:38] In the market. So I think that's going to keep the central banks on their toes, and that's going to feed into the rest of the curve as well. So I think it's going to be.
[17:38] Really quite past dependent in terms of geopolitics, in terms of also what happens given the sort.
[17:38] heat waves that we've seen and what impact that might have on food prices and inflation going forward, there's a lot to contend with between now and the end of the year.
[17:38] So you're saying it could, in fact, go either way with a tenure, could be higher, it could be lower.
[17:38] You know a ride, we may have seen the peaks so this at this point in time, you if we have a bit of a slowdown in terms of growth.
[17:38] That could be positive if we have seen more of a peak in inflation, which is a distinct possibility.
[17:39] See less pressure on the tenure that being said, I think from an investor perspective, at this stage, you've got some pretty.
[17:39] Interesting yields that are on offer, particularly as we see volatility in the equity markets so I think.
[17:39] For investors that are interested in income, there is income in the fixed income markets at this point in time right Henrietta, thank you so much Henrieta.
[17:39] 🎼Of all springring global investmentsments Now2 the top stories trending on the terminal this morning, Germany is working to identify Chinese.
[17:39] Es itself in a trade war with China says.
[17:39] 🎼hi its policy towards China China has set a ceiling on new US tariffs and warned Washington against.
[17:39] Thanks.
[17:39] 🎼Conun Johnson has agreed to pay $5 and a half billion to resolve years of litigation surrounding claims that its products.
[17:40] OJ&J says this would be a quote, efficientffic conclusion to the lawsuits planning 15 years.
[17:40] 🎼Coming up, President Trump set to meet Israeli Prime minister Benjamin Neyahu in Washington as Iran talks the agenda. That's next. This is Bberg.
[17:41] Next week on leaders with me, Fran Laqua, I speak with investor and entrepreneur Aandis.
[17:41] on the boldest of her career was was, that was brave walking away from Newcastle.
[17:41] 🎼It was the toughest decision I have made, it was so hard and what she's looking for in her next football club I just want a challenge.
[17:41] So tune into the podcast version of leaders with Franine Laqua, listen and watch on Bloomberg television or wherever you get your podcasts.
[17:41] Da CFOs are reshaping the sea suite Bloomberg's chief future officer shines a spotlight on these dynamics.
[17:41] What's the skill set that you would advise every aspiring CFfoO to develop psychology think skills are important?
[17:41] Obviously, you need to like the numbers if you don't like numbers then don't go into finance, you know, it's sort of like a recipe for disasters, if you don't like numbers.
[17:42] Not only for the CFO but also the company's management, that's the communication and the collaboration.
[17:42] A lot of time figuring out how to take the complex and make it simple and then finding a way to be able to communicate that both internally.
[17:42] And externally, I think it's relationships, whether it's working with investors, bankers, with the senior management team, with the board, having your head down.
[17:42] Is one thing as a finance person, but keeping your ears open is super important as well, and I think that all of that is what kind of builds out being.
[17:42] What chief future officer only on bloomberg know how the market day started how ites.
[17:42] Public markets to private markets from the micro to the macro covering retail, entertainment, the business of sports chain.
[17:42] How it all is impacting the US equity market as we drive to the closing bell at 4 pm a holistic approach to covering financial markets.
[17:43] It matters to your life we're covering it I'm Kaatiefeld and i'minestic and this is the close every weekday from three to five.
[17:43] Only on bloomloomberg context changes everything.
[17:43] They want to meet and we're meeting, we'll see what happens there a chance we could make a deal without what we did they wouldn't even be talking to.
[17:43] Uh, they requested a meeting through their surrogates and directly and we're meeting you know, good thing.
[17:43] President Trumpet talking up talks with Teran as Iran and Oman discuss.
[17:43] theait of us from Dubai is Bloberg'smar these separate talks.
[17:43] Talking about the Iran Omani talks, or is he also talking about U.S mediators, do we even know of here?
[17:43] Good morning Gonnie that's a good question, no we don't is the answer what we know what we've reported on is that Oman and ir have had separate meeting.
[17:44] And that is to discuss restoring, as you have mentioned, the shipments through the Strt of heru is now, what we understand happened during those meetings.
[17:44] Is that the both countries are trying to open up what is called a middle passage, sovaonnie throughout the whole war.
[17:44] Iran has been asking ships to stick through the lanes that it has laid out and that is close to the northern parts of the Strait of Herms or close to its.
[17:44] Border and ships that have gone through the southern part of the Strait of Hermose are closer to Arman wasandam.
[17:44] Have had to turn off their lights to be able to go through or else they're at risk of getting attacked by Iran we understand.
[17:44] Cotries are trying to restore the movement through opening this waterway that has been pretty much shut throughout the course of the past five months.
[17:44] Or so now there's no clarity on whether this is actually going to happen or not, we understand that those are talks at this stage, President Trump saying that,
[17:45] Iran, as you just heard, has reached out directly and through surrogates, Iran through the foreign ministry saying actually any kind of discussion that is happening.
[17:45] Is probably messages that are going through negotiators that are going through mediators, but no active substantive negotiations.
[17:45] Are happening at the time being, so we're keeping an eye out on the course of those meetings and whether we're going to have actual.
[17:45] Will conversations happen between Iran and the United States directly similar to the ones that have taken place after that MOU.
[17:45] Vonnie was signed in Switzerland about a month or so ago, that all seems like a history for the time being because the escalation in.
[17:45] Middle East that has happened over the course of the past 13, 14 days, despite being halted on fri by the united states seem to suggest.
[17:45] That we're seeing a period of reescalatory movement in the war here in the region.
[17:45] And to be President Trump meeting Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington, what's been the reaction in the region to this meeting?
[17:46] Yeah, you're right, Vonnie so far muted, what we understand is that Benjamin Netanyahu is going to attend the funeral of.
[17:46] Graham that is taking place, he also said that he wants to meet with President Trump to discuss many things, including Iran, he did say earlier.
[17:46] In the week that he will ask President Trump to keep a quote, constant, constant watch over the nuclear program in Iran.
[17:46] Can never attain a nuclear program. and the nuclear component of Vni is not just Israel's main goal. It'.
[17:46] ump's main goal it was laid out in the 14 concession MOU still not being discussed because at the front and center for the time being.
[17:46] the Str of hers and the movement through tankers and ships there right thank you so much Bberg abibu Omar.
[17:46] A global chip road deepening after a heavy selloff in Asia, Bloomberg semiconductor index for the region slumping and bleeding into US futures too.
[17:47] Bloomberg's Neil Camping joins us now. The repricing and repricing continues Neil. Is this all off the back of fears?😊
[17:47] China will eat everybody else's lunch when it comes to not just AI, but the stuff that goes in.😊
[17:47] With the semiconductor, the chips, the lithography machines now and everything else along with it.😊
[17:47] I think the fear with it goes to the investment universe around AI is that China despite not having access to a lot of the eye.
[17:47] P seems to be playing very fast catch up Now, the frontier AI models seem to be months behind rather than years behind.
[17:47] So as you mentioned, whether it's through the chip equipment companies, whether it's developing the internal solutions, well as the chips.
[17:47] or the memory or the financing of similar, it's all leading to those concerns, I think, for the momentum trade in AI.
[17:47] Just ahead of the significant owings we get in the next couple of days from the big memory companies to the hyperscalers Vny So is.
[17:48] There's so many moving parts, but one thing is definitely for clear that while indexes are reaching new highs, yest be equal weight last night for example.😊
[17:48] One thing we are saying is volatility at the stock level is significant. Yeah, absolutely Neil also just learning.
[17:48] metata and Blackwalk are developing a data center campus in Elel Paso, Texas. It's hard to keep track. Is this something that we didn't know about before and put it into context.
[17:48] The next4 is for both Me and Blackro if you can. Yeah, sure, So I think the numbers that I've read obviously is a breaking story, but it's about.
[17:48] $10 billion of commitment for Me. They'll loan 20% of this particular data centre, Black or will loan 80%. Now to put those kind of numbers in.
[17:48] So context, the numbers we were talking about yesterday for an invidious' capital commitment to this new open AI data centre was 600.😊
[17:48] But up to $600 billion, so relative to that data center is quite a small number, but it's just adding.😊
[17:49] Even more capital, clearly to the whole AI trade. But it's small relative to what we heard yesterday for the open AI platform.
[17:49] Now that they're getting taken negatively and they keep coming, it doesn't really help the narrative Neil, thank you so much, Bloomberg's Neil camping.😊
[17:49] Saying with earnings down boeing set a report before the market opened Bberg's place and aviation managing editor beedict kll joins us now.
[17:49] I recovering somewhat part of a pace bunny, but we're very, very much off the highs of back in 2018.
[17:49] Order were at 1100, we're at something like 300 now after Farnborough. What's the next 12 months going to look like for rollingeing?
[17:49] So as you said, Vinnie, this is a company that is recovering and will probably see that.
[17:49] In the earnings, a couple of things that people will be looking out for, will Boeing have generated cash in this quarter?
[17:49] That be something we'll see in the second half of the year. Will they maintain some of their longer term targets, What are things looking like on the certification?
[17:50] In front for some of their aircraft, it's the 737 and the triple7 x, in particular, those two types.
[17:50] Of aircraft are still awaiting certification, at least some of those models. So we're waiting for updates on all of that. But broadly speaking and we're.
[17:50] Coming out of the Farmbro A show last week, the tone is certainly positive, if not upbeat. We spoke with Kelly Oberg, the CEO.
[17:50] At the show last week. And he generally said, we are. We haven't quite turned the corner yet, but we are certainly on a good.
[17:50] So people will be looking out for more evidence on that today as they are on very learning.
[17:50] Call with a CFO. There's usually a message to employees where he'll sort of sort feel the temperature of the.
[17:50] Of the company a little bit so people will be dissecting that, so all of that happens in just over an hour, so lots to digest Abute can't wait.😊
[17:51] Benny, how much of the next sort of few months and the recovery in general is out of Boeing's control in the sense that engine producer.
[17:51] of have to get their acts together as well, Pratton Whitney and some of these other engine producers.
[17:51] The entire industry is fairly finely tuned, and there are a lot of things that are in some ways out of bones control. there's geopolitics, which we've discussed often here.
[17:51] On this forum, what will China do going forward, will China resume ordering aircraft and what about some other countries?
[17:51] That might be more or less amenable to the political whims out of Washington. But as you said, engines are also a big component.
[17:51] In particular from Airbus that they have issues with engines, they've produced what they've called gliders, so essentially ready made aircraft.😊
[17:51] But just lacking a key component, which is the engines, it's been less of an issue for Boeing, but they have said that they have some issues with supply chains.
[17:51] Be it engines, beard interiors. So again, people will be looking out for any clues that that's improving.
[17:52] 🎼In about an hour, we all know more. Yeah we for those headlines across Benny, thank you so much. Bbergs Benict camell there. This is beenberg.😊
[17:53] 🎼Welcome to the world of decentralized finance..
[17:53] NFTs have not recovered in the same way that say bit has Bomberg is covering all things crypto's a pretty spectacular story people.
[17:53] 🎼The future, this is the 21st century economy the transaction it snapped up nearly a billion dollars of bit and the technology.
[17:53] We need to build a digital fortn that gives people financial freedom and that's a wonderful thing that's extraordinary We ride the way thats bit Bberg crypto.
[17:53] 🎼Tdays only on Bloberg bringing you up to the minute geopolitical news whenever and wherever it happened.
[17:54] I'mtyyler Kenendall in Geneva Switzerland and this is bloomberg welcome to bloomlo this weekend'm.
[17:54] And i'm christina raffiti we're tracking breaking news today from wall street to washington let's start this weekend a little bloom.
[17:54] 🎼Your weekend routine watch listen stream.
[17:54] 🎼
[17:54] Bringing you the latest geopolitical news whenever and wherever it happens I'm David Garrai.
[17:55] 🎼And this is.
[17:55] Now we look at what's ahead today, earnings season in full swing, Boeing and Co Colla reporting before the bell and we get forward.
[17:55] After the market closed, plus we get some data with U. wholesale inventories at 830 New York Time and consumer confidence at 10 a.
[17:55] Some movers before the bell include some of the memory disc makers, Sandisk, for example, taking a head as the tech gl deepens.😊
[17:55] Particular the memory chip stock Barley is now extending losses. most of everything came in great in its earnings report its.
[17:55] Los more back to shareholders, but perhaps lagging some of its US peers and Johnson& Johnson may be putting the T claims to bed and that has that stock high.
[17:55] This is your macro picture as we go into the Tuesdayes session the future is on the Nasdaq in particular pointed lower with that tech route.
[17:55] Continue to cross Asia, rentt lower, and yield lower.
[17:57] Anytime.
[17:57] Of an industry that grows like that, there will be pockets where things are more difficult. So if they're smaller companies they've.
[17:57] It's harder to deal with tariffs, it's harder to deal with labor and with rising interest rates, so there you may see some poor.
[17:57] ForanceThat doesn't necessarily mean that lenders will lose money, but it may be more difficult. And then pockets of software, everybody's.
[17:57] You know,Been worried about how will that play out. I think there will know there was a lot of capital that was put in.
[17:57] From very smart private equity and very smart institutional investors into software really in the 21-22 vintage was.
[17:57] Pretty highly priced. And that as that works its way through the system now, four or five years in, you may see pockets there.
[17:58] I also think that the need for income, people want income in their portfolio and they can get that in many ways, you can get that from the T treasury.
[17:58] You can get that from a bank, you can get that from high yield right now is pretty good. high yield has very little exposure to software, and then you can get it from private.
[17:58] Credit where you maybe get more return and a little less liquidity. And so that I don't see that going away. In fact, I see investors wanting.
[17:58] War of that and wanting it from real estate, wanting it from real assets.

[17:58] 🎼morning, good morning. This is. We back to the opening trade. itberg money This is the trade.
[17:58] This Wall Street Week welcome to balance of power you're watchingloberg welcome to Bberg this weekend this is Bloomberg television.
[17:58] 🎼Bringing you up to the minute geopolitical news whenever and wherever it happens. I'm Steven anglegel at Japan's aak palaceace in.
