不做 Verizon(VZ.US)
方向偏空但Starlink移动服务落地在2027年以后,6月已有同类报道,本次电话会后盘后已先跌,缺少短周期可量化收入损害,不做空。
不做 AT&T(T.US)
方向偏空但竞争威胁偏中长期,且运营商已有D2D卫星应对方案;本次新增信息不足以支撑开盘追空。
不做 T-Mobile(TMUS.US)
方向偏空但T-Mobile与Starlink存在既有合作关系,净影响不如Verizon和AT&T单向,且本次无短期财务量化,暂不做。
不做 英伟达(NVDA.US)
SpaceX AI capex

[05:30] is to be able to turn the economy around and we see that we've been tracking at the Cook political report, his economic approval rating, and that has been dropping.
[05:30] Very steadily, especially with the war in Iran, voters are connecting the war in Iran to affordability to gas price.
[05:30] To prices being higher and have tariffs, it all rolls into the affordability question.
[05:30] Jessica, we have some breaking news from the office of senator susan collins of mainine who has just put out a statement saying that she will be voting.
[05:30] Against the nomination of todd blanche to serve as the next attorney general, she says, well she believesr.
[05:30] An is a capable lawyer, the department of justice has become increasingly political, he has taken several actions that have further eroded the department's independence.
[05:30] And that is the basis for my vote to oppose his confirmation is that political necessity for her in a state like mainine?
[05:30] I think when you look at where Trump's approval ratings are in a state that he lost very easily in 2024, she to.
[05:31] Separate herself from the president, and so I think she's probably given more cover than other Republicans would be given to vote against this nomination they can spare her.
[05:31] V, of course, they don't have Mitch Mcconnell's right now, so it is a much tighter numbers in the Senate that they're dealing with, but I think this is a vote.
[05:31] She probably has to take in order to keep her electoral hopes alive now she is overpered there in Maine, we've of course seen a new nominee come.
[05:31] Democrat Troy Jackson, I think he's still having to prove himself and introduce himself to voters with 100 days out, but Susan Collins is in the most vulnerable position that,
[05:31] s been inAll right, Jeessica Taylor, thank you so much for joining us.
[05:31] See the aftermath following today's first ever Spacex earnings call with telecom giants like verizon at and t t mobile all falling more than.
[05:31] 4% after hours and nvidia gaining after comments on spacex's plans in the call the coo gwen shotwell said.
[05:32] The earnings call with analysts that starlink mobile should be able to acquire customers from big wireless operators hence the pressure.
[05:32] Seeing on those names after hours Joe interesting just 40 minutes after the call began we'll have a lot more on this coming up the senate's last gasp will go to capitol hill.
[05:32] Where indeed senators are holding last minute votes before heading out of town until after labor day well bring in our political panel as well on the day.
[05:32] His biggest story is only on balance of power on Bloomberg t and radio.
[05:33] They see.
[05:33] F are reshaping the sea suite Bberg's chief future officer shines a spotlight on these dynamic leaders what the skill.
[05:33] Would advise every aspiring CFfoO to develop psychology I think I know skills are important obviously you need to numbers.
[05:33] Like numbers then don't go into finance, you know, it's sort of like a recipe for disasters, you know, like numbers, not only for the CFO but also.
[05:34] The company's management that's a communication and the collaboration I spent a lot of time figuring out.
[05:34] I take the complex and make it simple and then finding a way to be able to communicate that both internally and externally.
[05:34] Whether it's working with investors, bankers, with the senior management team, with the board, having your head down is one thing as a finance person.
[05:34] Keeping your ears open is super important as well, and I think that all of that is what kind of builds out being a successful CFO.
[05:34] 🎼Future officer only on Bloomberg in case you missed it on Bberg surveillance which analyst.
[05:34] Can this really continue at this rate, What we see in our data as a consumer sospending, to consumer spending in America, that means economy is okay.
[05:34] It means the rest of the markets and the construct and the final demand is there what are the potential thresholds that could potentially styie some of the pipeline?
[05:34] Barring because they see opportunity, what's equipment buying, what it's hiring, what's building a plant, whether it's inventory buildup don'pe Bberg surveillance.
[05:35] 🎼Every weekday the training day is about to start and you're already looking for that.
[05:35] 🎼Markes open across Europe. I'm Gu Johnson. I'm Anna Edwards and I'm Tom Mcken. This is your opening trade only on B back.
[05:35] 🎼Bringing you up to the minute geopolitical news whenever and wherever it happens, I'm Stephen Engel at Japan's Akasaka palaceace in.
[05:35] Tokyo and this is bloomberg.
[05:35] The bottom line is nobody is clean here and until we start recognizing this behavior is bad, we're just going to wind up it.
[05:35] Maybe it's a little bit more intense in this administration than the last one and that a little bit more intense than the prior administration and so on.
[05:36] But folks we've got to end this stuff we do I'm going to support Mr. blanche's nomination, but what I hope I see.
[05:36] Out of him is a bending of the curve of this absurdity.
[05:36] Bloomberg tv and radio i'm joe matthew alongside ke lines, of course, repan senator tom tillis there from north Carolinaolina sounding off.
[05:36] On the systemic issues plaguing washington while voting in favor of advancing acting attorney general todd blanche's nomination to the full.
[05:36] Senate following weeks of negotiations around blanch and the white house's anti weaponization fund just moments ago, we got breaking news on this.
[05:36] A big no vote against blanch from republican senator susan collins of maine in a reelection battle.
[05:36] Of her own for more on that the final hours of action in the senate tonight we're joined by bloombergs eric wson live.
[05:36] Capitol hill eric it's great to have you are we surprised by this news from suan collins i know she was on a short list of senators to watch and by my count.
[05:37] They can only lose two is that right I'm really not surprised by it at all, I think this going to be a very tough vote for Collins who's in a tough reele.
[05:37] ttle against Decrat nominee Troy Jackson to vote for Todd blanche, you know we're also looking at Lisa Murkowski.
[05:37] And Bill Cassidy, if I was a betting person, I would think Bill Cassidy may once again sort of cave in and vote for the administration.
[05:37] He has held out on the Iran war on other things, but after consulting with the administration tends to go.
[05:37] But we'll see, I talked to him in the hallway yesterday and he said he's standing by a statement that he wants to make sure that this is going to be an attorney general.
[05:37] What happened to used to be the president's personal lawyer and not someone who's going to act as the president's personal lawyer going forward, and he didn't clarify.
[05:37] So I think he's weighing it, Murkowski's also weighing it, but yeah, if both of those joined Cols, this nomination would be blocked.
[05:38] Again, I will add that the Blanche can act as the acting attorney general as long as this plays out and could do so for.
[05:38] Qu well that's very true and we'll see if those limits have to be tested and ultimately what comes down.
[05:38] This vote, eric, with the senates planning to take a number of votes before they leave town at the end of this week, what realistically is going to be able to get done?
[05:38] I really think that a stopgap spending bill, keeping the government open from October 1st to December 11th will pass, it's relatively noncon.
[05:38] So it cleared a procedure aural on a giant vote, it contains an interesting provision to prevent the White House budgetdget Office from politicizing grant.
[05:38] from only sending grant money to red states, and that actually supported by members on both sides who were worried about the precedent that that would set.
[05:38] I think that will actually get done, I think Russia's sanctions bill could also get done, but there'll be an interesting amendment vote jo Tne.
[05:38] The majority leader revealing to us that he's going to allow an amendment vote to strip out the tariff authority, this is something that has a lot of Democrats, including top finance.
[05:39] Commtee Decrat wden wideden very worried they think this gives too much leeway to the Trumpmp administration to use to penalize our ally so we see.
[05:39] That votes Rand pa also wants to see a vote on that, but if that goes forward either way, the Russia sanctions bill will clear.
[05:39] Time to do the sports college sports bill here, I don't think that will be done, there will be an attempt to vote on the crypto bill.
[05:39] r clarity but that sounds like it's in a lot of trouble. And this would basically be a procedural vote The Republicans hope to stage and then to go on the campaign.
[05:39] say that Democrats are antito and get some fundraising off of that those are the main items what they're not doing is Iran.
[05:39] Funding bill, there's a budget that passed the house $95 billion for the Iran war for farmer aid for election security.
[05:39] And there seems to be no appetite to do that and I'm waiting to see if the president really lays into John Tan about that.
[05:40] Bloomberg's eric wson live on capitol hill for us thank you so much and joining us now for more is this evening's political panel adam hodge is with us.
[05:40] B politics contributor, democratic strategist and managing director at bully pulpit international alongside Republicanuban strategist ain mGuire of Axiom.
[05:40] Strategies welcome to you botherin as the republican here, we know suan collins is not going to vote to con.
[05:40] Todd blanche, and i wonder if you would expect that a couple other republicans would be willing to break ranks here.
[05:40] I imagine to e's reporting there that you could see Senator cassidy come over and be a yes on this, you could see Senator Merkau.
[05:40] and that's enough for them in the along run to be able to pass this, but also to e's point, they could keep todd blanche on.
[05:40] Attorney general in perpetuity through the end of the term they just have to keep renominating him and at that point, yes, susan collins was able.
[05:40] To take the political victory she needed to also she is an independent vote yes i'm sure a bit of that might have had campaign calculus but.
[05:41] We would put that more at 98% Susan Collins would being in Susan Collins well, you know how this stuff works, you're no a stranger to washington.
[05:41] Adam some lawmakers will cover each other for one who might be in a sensitive race this is done though right todd blanche.
[05:41] Be confirmed as the next attorney general absolutely and like no surprise Susan Collins is trying to cover her political weapons.
[05:41] , but I said this last week, Republicans always eventually come home and do what daddy tells them to do.
[05:41] Once Todd Blanche is his nominee, he's going to get him, I didn't believe that John Corn and Tom Tills will ultimately vote against this nominee.
[05:41] The deal that they supposedly got is not even worth the paper it's written on, but let's remember, RFK Jr promised he was going to.
[05:41] Do nothing to support vaccines to erode support for vaccines, he got on the door, he eliminated support for vaccines.
[05:42] As Susan Collin knows, told him to her face, he's going to stand up and that rowe was set of law, first chance he voted against it.
[05:42] This is what the replicans do time and again, no surprise that's what's going to happen this week senator Cory Booker spoke to.
[05:42] What you were just saying, Adamdam in the markup in the judiciary committee today, basically suggesting that Coryn and Tiis.
[05:42] Didn't get much for their holdouts here Listen This is all hat and no cattle. It's hard for me to say this as a plant based.
[05:42] But where's the beef, where's the beef, this is ridiculous, we got nothing.
[05:42] No guarantees whatsoever that this slush fund still can't go forward. We got nothing that the president.
[05:42] Un States can't cheat on his taxes and have no accountability, De God folks.
[05:42] So ridiculous that we are sitting back here and allowing this to happen.
[05:43] Aon did Tillis and cornyn really not get much at all with this entire process they got what they wanted.
[05:43] Ex thing they asked for they went into negotiations and wanted something signed by todd blanche and they got ity booker there.
[05:43] It's trying out for 2028 pretty early and didn't that feel like another attempt at a Spartac kiss moment as he's sitting there lambasssing president tru.
[05:43] About cheating on his taxes, the president's never been convicted of tax fraud in his entire life, so the senator should be careful of the words he's using when he's talking about.
[05:43] President in committee, blanche went into negotiations with Coryn and tillllis and said they said that he was negotiating a good.
[05:43] To sign about the slush fund, he did Cory Booker might not like that deal, but the two gentlemen who were in the majority and who were able to get the nominee.
[05:43] Out of committee did so corey's grandstanding is just a pathetic attempt at a 28 audit w i thought he was given james rico.
[05:44] C with the plant based reference theory, vegans can be tough guys too, not that Toto Rico is but okay, we're not only talking about.
[05:44] Todd blanchech, you know who was sworn in today was j clayton who upset a lot of people when he wouldn't say who won the 2020 election in his confirmation hearing.
[05:44] But as a democrat, is this an upgrade from bill poultty who apparently is going to remain to some capacity with the admin?
[05:44] Bill Polley is a political hack he's been that since the day he got in the run FHFA, he did that around some of the fananny Freddie stuff, some of the housing.
[05:44] Policy stuff, he'll do whatever the president tells him to do, so is Jay Clayton an upgrade, a barely one, I mean like what he did.
[05:44] That confirmation was he debased himself, is it enough to renew PISA, I would hope so, I mean, I've said it before PISA should be confirmed and we should find a way.
[05:44] To do that, but the problem is throughout this administration, they have eliminated the trust within Democrats on Republicans on issues that should be known.
[05:44] Partisan because they just do not think that they won't use their powers and abuse them to go after their political enemies. And so that's what we.
[05:45] again we have just over two minutes left and I do want to hear from both of you on michigan Adamam, how problematic is it for democrats of El say Ed wins tonight?
[05:45] Look, I think that the underlying story in Michigan is that the president is unpopular and he's going to drag down any.
[05:45] publican running against and now obviously, I think Haley statements would have an easier time beating Mike Rogers than Eled, and that's what you've seen.
[05:45] Some Democrats in the country say we will see how it plays out, we may end up spending more money there than we would want to, and that means states like Texas,
[05:45] In Iowa that are now in play may have less funds to deal with, sos that's the trade off we'll have to get. I still think Mike Rogers is someone who goes down.
[05:45] In November regardless who the nominee is because tru is so unpopular in michigan Wow what's your thought onelsed a mGuire is make?
[05:45] I do think that El say's going to win this primary, and I think to Adam's point here, this does put Democrats in a bit of a bun.
[05:46] And a pickle because they are not fundraising at the level nationally that repans are president trump's magt innk alone is sitting on almost half.
[05:46] Billion dollars in campaign funds and democras were going to have to move money to help try and get led across the finish.
[05:46] If they want to, but the way they laid out their 2028 presidential map was an attempt to try and stop the socialist climb in the democrat Party.
[05:46] So I'm going to be curious how much oxygen or money national Democratscrat actually give Elsad in their attempt to stave off the.
[05:46] We're out of time Aaronin, but just quickly, you mentioned all that money in the magga ink pack. when do you expect the president's going to start spending it?
[05:46] Goodness, I hope right now immediately right now let's get some reservations on the board and get some of that money out the door for these good rep, absolutely, let's do it immediately.
[05:46] I hope before Labor Day I think he said it for his library, the library, not for a campaign has never helped bail.
[05:46] That Republicansub in I or in media sure he going to that's not on as that's not.
[05:47] ads and ground and lip before he has spent money out of Magga ink on campaigns and competitive races before, that's not true to say.
[05:47] To be continued adam and e great panel, thank you both for being with us here, we're going to be learning a lot tonight apparently about the future.
[05:47] The Democratic party and we invite you to check out the washington edition newsletter to get ready for the results you can find it on the terminal and online and of course, once we have the results.
[05:47] And we'll have more analysis for you on tomorrow's edition, a balancealance of Power alongside Joee Mattheww and Kaylely Lys on Bloberg TV and radio.
[05:47] 🎼Earning season is here, the banning story has been so.
[05:47] Bloomberg is first to break the numbers blackstone reporting a larger than expected right I want to eye.
[05:47] 🎼Out of Me Amazon, Microsoft Google with the smartest insights, we have seen a consumer that has.
[05:48] And continues to be resilient there's a lot of reason to believe that there's still a huge, huge amount of growth here continuing coverage on bloomberg.
[05:48] Are you a different president from your father?
[05:48] I have to be, it's a different time, there's fundamental lessons that I still hold close to my heart.
[05:48] But in terms of the practical things that you do, very few of those things apply any longer. How is mom.
[05:48] Oh she's in her 90s Yeah, but I always say she's 95 years old, she didn't get the memo,t she doesn't believe.
[05:48] she's 95 years and she's still very active, I mean I still get calls from her and she she says you need to do this.
[05:48] And she doesn't let her age hold her back but she try to advise you even as president of the Philippinine.
[05:48] you know I always learned something new with my mom in my family, she's the real politician and she said.
[05:49] Natural, my father was an intellect, he was a statesman, and we always said that he lived in his head.
[05:49] You know, he was very, very, very deep thinker that's where I learned my mother, on the other hand, she has this uncanny.
[05:49] Ability to connect with any kind of person, any person she runs into industry street, King's president.
[05:49] Anyone, her childhood friend, she doesn't know how to fight, she's very bad at conflict.
[05:49] 🎼
[05:50] How do you?
[05:50] AI changing gaming and game development in the future Look, I think the biggest thing that I'm thinking about is how do you just make sure.
[05:50] It's solving problems on the game development side have gone to a lot of our studios you know, with big and small and I'm blown away.
[05:50] With how they're using AI and the production pipelines, how they're using it for iteration and prototyping, that's not production ready, there's still work.
[05:50] And you know 30% of game development and software, and so there's the traditional applications that we see in enterprise at the same time.
[05:50] I do not think AI will replace AAA games, I think it's entirely possible though, that AI represents a new category of games.
