GCCL与GemPharmatech签署药物开发一体化服务MOU

GCCL, a clinical trial sample analysis specialist under the GC Group, is teaming up with global preclinical contract research organization (CRO) GemPharmatech to build an integrated service supporting the full drug development cycle from preclinical studies to clinical trials.
GCCL signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with GemPharmatech for cooperation in global drug development services on the 21st, the company said on the 22nd. The signing ceremony was attended by GCCL CEO Cho Kwan-koo, GemPharmatech Chairman Dr. Xiang Gao, and GemPharmatech North America President Dr. Brandy Wilkinson.
Under the agreement, the two companies plan to link GCCL's clinical trial central lab and bioanalysis and sample management capabilities with GemPharmatech's preclinical in vivo efficacy testing and disease and genetically engineered animal model technologies. The goal is to help global pharmaceutical and biotech companies proceed continuously with development from early preclinical proof of concept through clinical trial execution.
In particular, the companies plan to jointly provide services combining preclinical research and clinical sample analysis across various diseases and next-generation therapeutic fields. They will also pursue online and offline joint marketing and customer development centered on Korea, the United States and China. The plan is to expand global business opportunities by making the U.S. market — where demand for integrated services from preclinical to clinical stages is growing — a core business base.
"We will connect GemPharmatech's preclinical capabilities with GCCL's clinical expertise to help our clients smoothly continue development from early research to clinical trials," GemPharmatech Chairman Xiang Gao said. GCCL CEO Cho Kwan-koo also stressed, "Using this agreement as a springboard, we will expand our global cooperation network and provide integrated support services that allow clients to efficiently move from early research to clinical development stages."
