Newsweek publishes an annual list of the world's most trustworthy companies by industry. This year, Samsung SDS ranked first globally in the software and telecommunications category.
Newsweek conducted the survey with global research firm Statista, covering listed companies with annual revenue of at least $500 million across 23 industries in 20 countries. The rankings were based on responses from 65,000 people, who assessed each company on three measures: customer trust, including confidence in products and services and satisfaction with complaint handling; investor trust, covering long-term investment value, corporate values and management capability; and employee trust, covering fair treatment, pay levels and career development opportunities.
The top 1,400 companies from the survey underwent a separate online reputation analysis. That stage drew on more than 320,000 online mentions collected over five months from web articles, news reports, forums and social media, evaluating sentiment as positive, neutral or negative along with overall reach.
The result marks the fourth consecutive year Samsung SDS has appeared on Newsweek's list of the world's most trustworthy companies, dating back to 2023. The company ranked first in the conglomerates category in 2023, and first and second in the software and telecommunications category in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
