Lotte Department Store said on the 23rd that it has become the first in the industry to introduce an AI agent called "AI Biz Center," which streamlines the inquiry and consultation process for new brands seeking to open stores.
Operating on Lotte Department Store's website since the previous day, the AI Biz Center uses AI technology to simplify the store entry and consultation procedures.
Lotte Department Store developed the service after noting that a considerable number of new brands were missing opportunities to enter due to complex store entry procedures.
When partner companies enter details such as their brand name, key customer base, and product differentiators in a conversational format on the AI Biz Center, the AI drafts a proposal for store entry in line with Lotte Department Store's screening criteria. If brand introduction materials, corporate websites, or social media addresses are attached, the AI automatically analyzes that content and reflects it in the proposal.
For brands wanting consultation, the AI analyzes the proposal content and connects them with the most suitable department. Lotte Department Store explained that this reduces the time required from consultation proposal to review by relevant departments by up to 80%.
"Open proposals" across various fields throughout the department store are also possible. Companies can propose any content they wish to collaborate on, including marketing partnerships in finance and digital sectors, as well as ideas for business partnerships such as department store space rental or regional co-prosperity.
"We will continue to introduce AI services that benefit customers, employees, and partner companies alike," a Lotte Department Store official said.
