Mirae Asset 将 Korbit 更名为 Digital X，推进数字资产平台战略

Mirae Asset Group has renamed Korbit, the cryptocurrency exchange it recently acquired, to "Digital X," launching a full-scale drive toward its mid-to-long-term vision, "Mirae Asset 3.0."
In a letter sent to employees on the 23rd, Mirae Asset Group Chairman Park Hyeon-joo said, "Korbit makes a fresh start today with the name Digital X," expressing his aspirations by adding, "Digital X will become the most powerful core axis for realizing Mirae Asset 3.0."
Earlier, the Fair Trade Commission (FTC) approved Mirae Asset Consulting's acquisition of Korbit on the 9th of this month. It marks the first case of a financial group affiliate acquiring a cryptocurrency exchange.
Park said, "The 'X' we have defined means the unknown future, as well as the infinite possibilities that arise when different values intersect and converge." He added, "Combining these two worlds—traditional assets and digital assets, Mirae Asset's deep know-how and Korbit's overwhelming expertise—to create a new investment paradigm that no one has ever ventured into is precisely our mission."
Regarding the name change to Digital X, he explained that it is "beyond a simple rebranding, a precise compass that presents the direction we will move toward and a solemn promise that we will all practice together."
Mirae Asset Group plans to build a new investment ecosystem that merges traditional and digital assets based on Digital X. The move appears to reflect a decision to actively utilize the digital asset value chain to realize the group's vision, "Mirae Asset 3.0." Mirae Asset 3.0 is the group's mid-to-long-term vision centered on global operations, digital, and platforms.
Park stressed, "We will build a new investment ecosystem in which the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA), security token offerings (STO), stablecoins, and traditional and digital assets organically coexist," adding, "In the name of Mirae Asset 3.0, Digital X will lead this enormous wave of change head-on."
Park also said, "By bringing together the more than 30 years of global heritage that Mirae Asset has accumulated and the on-the-ground expertise that Korbit has fiercely built, we will be reborn as a unique organization that preemptively defines the next era of digital assets."
