LG CNS (064400) said on the 5th that it has won Korea Airports Corporation's project to establish the "KAC AI Master Plan (ISMP)," supporting the artificial intelligence transformation (AX) of Korea's airport industry.
The project involves establishing a mid- to long-term strategy and implementation roadmap to apply AI across the overall operations of 14 airports nationwide, including Gimpo, Gimhae, and Jeju. Through this project, LG CNS will take on the role of concretizing Korea Airports Corporation's AI strategy and establishing a master plan. Using AI, it will identify core services including airport operations optimization, customer service innovation, and safety management system development. To this end, it will carry out the entire process, from AI strategy consulting to AI and data architecture design, AI governance establishment, proof of concept (PoC) for core tasks, and the implementation planning for follow-up projects.
One representative service LG CNS will carry out is a safety management service based on "agentic AI." When an abnormal situation occurs within an airport, a field employee leaves a voice record of the situation, and the AI agent automatically organizes it to generate a draft report and guide response procedures for each situation. Once this model takes shape, it will reduce the reporting workload for field employees in emergency situations and enable rapid initial response.
LG CNS will invest in this project its AX experience accumulated across various industry sectors including public, finance, manufacturing, and logistics, along with its capabilities in generative and agentic AI, cloud, and data technologies. Through this, it plans to expand its AX business portfolio into the airport and aviation fields.
