Hyundai Glovis (086280) is stepping up support for South Korea's K-culture exports through air logistics services that carry domestic beauty and entertainment products overseas.
The company said on the 27th that it recently won and is now handling air freight contracts for APR cosmetics shipped to Los Angeles, London and Amsterdam, as well as SM Entertainment albums bound for Chicago and other U.S. cities.
Hyundai Glovis secures optimal flights and shipping routes through negotiations with airlines. Air transport allows faster delivery and easier control of the shipping environment, including temperature and humidity.
Cosmetics require packaging that prevents leakage and absorbs shocks, and in some cases must meet hazardous-materials packaging standards such as the use of safety containers. Exports also must satisfy country-specific rules, including U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulations and the European Union's REACH chemicals framework. Hyundai Glovis provides customized services to keep shipments moving smoothly.
For album shipments, the company applies a ban on multi-tier stacking of cargo across both inland and air legs, from departure to arrival.
