SK eternix said on Sept. 4 that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with energy climate-tech company ENlighten on Sept. 3 to cooperate in renewable energy businesses and establish a strategic partnership.
The companies will cooperate across the renewable energy business cycle, from engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and plant operations and maintenance to data utilization, asset acquisitions and new business development. They will also pursue joint renewable energy projects, including solar power.
ENlighten provides related services using power plant operating data collected through its energy IT platform, "Power Plant King." SK eternix plans to use power generation data to improve the efficiency of renewable energy asset management and respond to market changes.
ENlighten is integrating distributed power generation resources across South Korea into virtual power plants (VPPs).
