不做 英飞凌(IFX.DE)
不做 ams OSRAM(AMS.CH)

- The Elec

Infineon Technologies completed on July 1 its acquisition of the non-optical analog and mixed-signal sensor business of Austria- and Germany-based lighting and sensor technology company ams OSRAM. The acquisition strengthens Infineon's sensor portfolio for industrial and automotive applications while expanding its presence in the medical market.
The transaction was originally announced on Feb. 3. The purchase price was €570 million on a debt-free, cash-free basis. Approximately 230 employees have joined Infineon as part of the acquisition. Manufacturing facilities are not included in the transaction, and ams OSRAM will continue to provide manufacturing services to Infineon for a transitional period.
Infineon expects the acquired business to generate approximately €230 million in revenue in calendar year 2026. The company said the acquisition will be immediately accretive to earnings per share upon closing.
The acquired business will be integrated into the existing Sensors and Radio Frequency business within Infineon's Edge Systems (ES) Division. The ES Division combines sensing, computing, connectivity and security technologies. Through the acquisition, Infineon adds position and temperature sensing technologies as well as mixed-signal product capabilities to its portfolio.
The position and temperature sensor technologies target automotive, industrial, consumer and medical applications. They support high-precision position sensing, capacitive sensing and temperature measurement. Capacitive sensors detect changes in electrical characteristics caused by the proximity or touch of an object and can be used in applications including vehicle chassis position sensing, hands-on detection (HOD) for steering wheels, robotic joint angle and position sensing, and continuous glucose monitoring systems.
The mixed-signal product portfolio is aimed at medical imaging and sensor interface applications. Products include solutions for computed tomography (CT), digital X-ray systems and application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) for sensor interfaces.
Stephan Zizala, president of Infineon's Edge Systems Division, said the company will combine ams OSRAM's sensor portfolio with Infineon's wafer technologies and mixed-signal intellectual property (IP) to accelerate the development of new products.
