HD现代与Kiewit签署美国造船战略合作协议

HD Hyundai has entered into a strategic partnership with Kiewit Offshore Services, Ltd. (KOS), one of the largest engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies in the United States, to cooperate on shipbuilding projects.
HD Hyundai announced on July 19 that it recently signed a strategic partnership agreement with KOS to expand cooperation in the shipbuilding sector. Under the agreement, the companies will pursue joint shipbuilding opportunities in the United States and collaborate on the fabrication of ship blocks and modules at local facilities.
KOS is one of North America's leading engineering, construction and fabrication companies. The company has extensive experience executing large-scale EPC projects across the power, energy, offshore and industrial sectors, and has delivered major offshore structure fabrication, installation and commissioning projects throughout North America and South America, including Brazil.
The partnership combines HD Hyundai's expertise in ship design, procurement, global supply chain management and shipbuilding technologies with KOS's local fabrication, construction and project execution capabilities. The two companies also plan to manufacture ship blocks and modules in the United States as part of their collaboration.
An HD Hyundai official said, "Through our partnership with KOS, we intend to support efforts to revitalize the US shipbuilding industry. We also plan to expand our cooperation into the floating data center (FDC) sector and explore new business opportunities in the North American infrastructure market."
