韩国Bukwang制药投资240亿韩元建设安山工厂自动化仓库，预计2027年9月投产

Bukwang Pharmaceutical (003000) will spend 24 billion won ($17.4 million) to build an automated warehouse at its plant in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province. The company plans to triple its drug storage capacity and improve logistics efficiency to support an additional 200 million tablets of annual output.
Construction begins this month, with completion and full operation targeted for September 2027, the company said on the 26th. Storage capacity will rise to 4,500 cells from 1,500, and the building will stand 45 meters tall, up from 13 meters, under a vertical high-rise design.
The company will also install smart logistics equipment at the new facility, including racks, stacker cranes, a warehouse management system (WMS) and equipment that meets Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. The setup will allow integrated management of the receiving, storage and shipping of finished drugs and raw materials.
Once the automated system is in place, handling time per cell is expected to fall to 38 seconds from 10 minutes, and staffing needs to drop by about 60%. Seven storage sites now scattered across the plant will be consolidated into one. The company expects the project to add capacity for 200 million tablets a year, worth about 26 billion won in sales.
The investment is seen as a move to relieve congestion at the existing manual warehouse and to prepare for the company's 2029 target of producing 1.2 billion tablets a year. "Building on the automated warehouse, we will improve productivity and labor efficiency while strengthening our regulatory compliance and the stability of our drug supply," an official at Bukwang Pharmaceutical said.
