BS Hanyang联合体中标光阳港航道直线化项目，消息已在8月4日提前披露

BS Hanyang has been named the preferred bidder for the Gwangyang (Yeocheon) Port Myodo Channel Straightening Project, ordered by the Yeosu Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries under the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, once again demonstrating its capabilities in port infrastructure construction.
The project will be carried out by a consortium led by BS Hanyang, together with Taeyoung Engineering & Construction, Daewoo Engineering & Construction, Dongbu Corporation and HJ Shipbuilding & Construction. The total project cost is about 195.7 billion won ($141 million), including value-added tax, and will proceed on a turnkey basis, combining design and construction in a single contract.
The project will substantially improve a narrow, winding sea route in the waters around Myodo, in Yeosu, South Jeolla Province. Along a 2,760-meter stretch of the Myodo channel between the Yeosu National Industrial Complex and Gwangyang Port, the fairway will be widened from 185 meters to 300 meters, and dredged to a depth of 10.5 meters. Once the work is complete, ships of up to 17,000 deadweight tonnage (DWT) will be able to berth safely. Navigation safety is expected to improve significantly, and much of the current congestion of ships and cargo is expected to ease. The total construction period is 70 months from the start of work.
BS Hanyang will begin with preliminary work installing containment barriers to prevent marine pollution and buoys to mark positions, followed by 90 days of detailed design, before signing the main construction contract and breaking ground as early as December this year.
The contract win is credited to the marine and port engineering expertise BS Hanyang has built through the successful completion of projects such as the Yeosu Myodo port redevelopment, the Ulsan liquid-cargo wharf construction and the Sinan Hongdo Port breakwater construction. Having secured this project after the Busan New Port grain wharf private-investment project and the berthing facility construction at the east wharf of Jeju's Aewol Port, BS Hanyang is cementing its position in the port infrastructure market.
"We were able to achieve this good result because our proposals were highly rated for enabling stable berthing of large ships and ensuring navigation safety, as well as for safe excavation methods based on precise ground surveys and turbidity-control designs that took into account coexistence with the fisheries industry," a BS Hanyang official said. "We will operate a thorough safety management system throughout the construction process to build a high-quality fairway."
Building on its construction order record, BS Hanyang plans to focus on enhancing its project management capabilities and strengthening its financial soundness, while diversifying its business across the private, public and infrastructure sectors to continue securing a stable workload.
