韩华系统连续第七次取得CMMI最高等级认证

Hanwha Systems (272210.KS) has earned the highest CMMI rating for the seventh consecutive time, becoming the first South Korean company to do so on the global research and development capability assessment metric.
The company said on the 24th that it received Level 5, the highest grade, in a certification assessment for the defense R&D sector under CMMI's latest 3.0 version. The certification was officially announced on the 21st after a final review by the CMMI Institute.
CMMI is a process maturity assessment model created by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University at the request of the U.S. Department of Defense. The CMMI 3.0 defense-sector certification examines 185 items across 19 areas of the defense R&D process and assigns a grade from Level 1 to Level 5 based on process maturity. The certification is valid for three years.
Hanwha Systems received high marks for its R&D process management capabilities across all business areas, including radar, satellites, combat management systems (CMS), and command, control and communications.
Since first obtaining CMMI Level 5 in 2009, the company has maintained certification under the latest versions over 17 years through continuous process improvement, the internalization of quantitative management systems, and efforts to strengthen product competitiveness. Maintaining the top CMMI grade for seven consecutive times is the longest such record among South Korean companies.
Level 5 certification is an international standard proving that a company possesses world-class R&D capabilities. Global defense firms such as Lockheed Martin and Boeing often require CMMI certification as a prerequisite for business cooperation or export contracts. Hanwha Systems said it expects the certification to contribute to its efforts to penetrate overseas markets and expand exports.
"Maintaining the top CMMI grade for 17 years is a result that once again proves that Hanwha Systems' defense R&D processes and quality management capabilities are world-class," a company official said. "Going forward, through thorough quality management and technological innovation, we will contribute to South Korea's security and continue to strengthen the competitiveness of K-defense in the global market."
