AriBio has officially concluded the global Phase 3 clinical trial of AR1001, an oral treatment for Alzheimer's disease. The company plans to announce the topline results of the Phase 3 trial this year, following data verification and analysis.
AriBio said on the 28th that it had completed the "last patient, last visit" (LPLV) in its Phase 3 trial spanning 13 countries. LPLV marks the point at which the last dosed patient completes final adverse event and safety assessments.
AriBio has been conducting the Phase 3 trial in about 230 clinical institutions across 13 countries, including the United States, Europe, Korea, and China, enrolling 1,535 patients with early-stage Alzheimer's disease. Last month, the trial completed 52 weeks of dosing for main-study patients. The last dosed patient also completed the final safety follow-up visit, conducted four weeks later, as scheduled on the 27th of this month.
Accordingly, AriBio is now cleaning data collected from clinical institutions worldwide. After reviewing data queries, key evaluation variables, and safety information, the company plans to proceed with database lock and statistical analysis.
AriBio will first release the topline results as soon as the 52-week efficacy and safety findings for AR1001 are derived. It plans to officially present detailed clinical results at the opening session of "CTAD 2026," the Clinical Trials on Alzheimer's Disease conference, to be held in Boston, United States, this November.
"We completed the large-scale Phase 3 trial conducted in 13 countries as planned," said Jung Jae-jun, CEO of AriBio. "By prioritizing the completeness of the data and the accuracy of the analysis, we will focus our company-wide capabilities on data lock and statistical analysis to clearly present the clinical value of AR1001."
Meanwhile, 95.5% of eligible patients enrolled in the long-term extension trial that follows the 52-week main study, with more than 1,250 currently receiving dosing and evaluation. The trial is scheduled to end in July next year. The company plans to use up to two years of long-term safety and efficacy data as key material to enhance treatment reliability in clinical settings.
