现代Rotem为土耳其韩战老兵家庭完成HEROES’ HOME公益住房项目

Hyundai Rotem (064350.KS) is providing new homes for families of Turkish veterans who fought in the 1950-53 Korean War.
The company said on the 26th that it held a completion ceremony on the 22nd local time in Hatay Province, Turkey, for HEROES' HOME, a project to improve housing conditions for local Korean War veterans and their families. The project is part of a broader program to upgrade housing for veterans in allied countries that sent troops to the Korean War, carried out with the welfare foundation Warm Companions and the Community Chest of Korea.
At the home of veteran Seker, Hyundai Rotem carried out foundation concrete work, floor tile repairs and exterior wall plastering. Seker served as an army artilleryman in Turkey's first deployment in 1950 and was shot in the shoulder during combat, returning to the front line after treatment. "I have treasured my long ties with the Republic of Korea, and I am happy and grateful to receive such warm attention and care," he said. "I am deeply thankful to Hyundai Rotem for remembering our sacrifice and offering real help."
The home of another veteran, Selim Aslanurek, was also transformed through interior and exterior work including foundation concrete repairs. New houses were provided to the bereaved families of veterans Davut Avci, Halil Demirtas and Samih Cekic, who have died. Those families had been living in temporary shelters after an earthquake. Hyundai Rotem also supplied kitchen furniture, refrigerators and other household goods to all the recipient households.
Starting in Turkey, the HEROES' HOME project will run as a four-year plan through 2029. The company said it aims to spread the significance of global veterans' support activities together with the international community.
