HLB (028300.KS) will unveil clinical research results from its core anticancer pipeline at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), one of the world's top-three oncology congresses.
HLB said on the 28th that three research abstracts related to rivoceranib and lirafugratinib from its U.S. subsidiary Elevar Therapeutics have been accepted for ESMO Congress 2026, to be held in October.
ESMO is regarded as one of the world's top-three oncology congresses, along with the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). It is a venue where oncology experts and global pharmaceutical and biotech companies share the latest cancer research results and clinical data. This year it will be held from October 23 to 27 in Madrid, Spain.
Among the accepted studies, the results of an investigator-initiated Phase 2 trial of rivoceranib in patients with previously treated metastatic thymic epithelial tumors will be presented in a Rapid Oral Presentation session. A rapid oral presentation is a format granted to studies of high academic importance and clinical impact, with only a small number of studies selected.
A subgroup analysis of the global Phase 3 trial (CARES-310) of the rivoceranib and camrelizumab combination therapy conducted in patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (uHCC) has also been accepted for poster presentation. This study analyzed the impact of early antibiotic use on the therapeutic efficacy of the combination therapy.
Post-hoc analysis results of the Phase 1/2 trial (ReFocus) of lirafugratinib will also be presented as an ePoster. The study evaluated the impact of prior immuno-oncology treatment experience on the risk of mucocutaneous adverse events (mcAEs).
"The presentation of various studies at ESMO is a meaningful achievement that demonstrates continued clinical interest in rivoceranib and lirafugratinib," said Kim Dong-gun, CEO of Elevar Therapeutics. "Based on the accumulated clinical data, we will continue to secure evidence that can be utilized in actual treatment settings."
