T'way Air will begin operating under the name Trinity Airways (091810) on Sept. 10.
The carrier said on the 31st that it had set Sept. 10 as the date for the brand transition and the start of operations under the new name, after completing domestic and overseas procedures in sequence following approval from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in May to change its license for the corporate name change to Trinity Airways.
All domestic and international flights operated by T'way Air will be flown under the Trinity Airways brand. The airline will also fully roll out its newly unveiled uniforms.
Major customer touchpoints including the website, mobile app and airport check-in counters will switch to Trinity Airways on Sept. 10. Check-in terminals and counter locations remain the same, though they may change depending on airport operations, and passengers can check the airport display boards on the day of departure.
Customers who have already purchased tickets for departures after Sept. 10 can use them without any separate change procedure. The airline code (TW), flight numbers, flight schedules and the terms of existing bookings and tickets all remain unchanged. Booking confirmations issued before the name change may show the previous carrier name, T'way Air, but this will not affect boarding.
Trinity Airways plans to use the rebranding as a springboard to push ahead with its selective service carrier (SSC) business strategy, built on a new brand mission of being a "comfortable and reliable" airline.
Under the SSC model, rather than providing the same set of services uniformly to all customers, an airline selectively strengthens the services customers need based on route characteristics and travel purpose. Trinity Airways said it will maintain competitive fares on short-haul routes while expanding services with high customer preference on long-haul routes, such as premium check-in counters, in-flight meals and in-flight entertainment (IFE). It also plans to pursue lounge operations and the introduction of a mileage program to offer a differentiated travel experience.
Alongside the rebranding, Trinity Airways will continue introducing next-generation aircraft to strengthen its service and route competitiveness. Through the continued introduction of A330-900NEO wide-body jets and B737-8 aircraft this year, the carrier aims to further solidify its position as a leading airline with differentiated services and route competitiveness.
"From Sept. 10, we will meet customers under a new name and brand, and we are preparing with a stable transition as our top priority so that there will be no change to existing bookings and flight use," a T'way Air official said. "Under the new name Trinity Airways, we will provide customers with a more comfortable and reliable travel experience and grow into a new global airline through differentiated services that combine aviation and hospitality."
