LS Electric has concluded its collective wage and labor agreement without negotiations for the second consecutive year, following a similar deal last year. Labor and management joined together to concentrate their capabilities on securing future competitiveness, aiming not to miss the growth opportunity presented by expanding global power infrastructure investment.
LS Electric said on the 12th that it held a "Ceremony for the 2026 Wage and Labor Agreement Delegation and Commemoration of Achieving $1.2 Billion in Exports, and Worker-Management Win-Win Agreement" at LS Yongsan Tower in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the 10th, with Chairman Koo Ja-kyun, CEO Chae Dae-seok, and labor union chairman Lee Ho-jung in attendance.
"I am grateful to the union and all employees for making a broad-minded decision this year as they did last year," Koo said. "If workers and management strengthen our unrivaled competitiveness with one mind and continue to invest in future strategic industries, including direct current (DC), we will be able to leap forward as a company that leads the global power market." CEO Chae added, "Workers and management will join forces to lead future core industries by seizing the boom in the global power market as a growth opportunity."
This decision to delegate the wage and labor agreement stemmed from solid trust built as LS Electric steadfastly kept its promise to "guarantee industry-leading treatment" for its employees based on the company's performance. Chairman Lee said, "This is the result of contemplating the future together, based on the sincere communication shown by management, its efforts to provide industry-leading treatment, and trust in a company that respects its workers."
Meanwhile, the LS Group has used the expression "labor and management" (nogyeong, meaning workers and management) instead of the term "labor-management" (nosa, meaning workers and employers), and LS Electric decided to officially adopt the expression "workers and management" on the occasion of this agreement.
