KT成立信息安全咨询委员会以强化零信任与AI安全治理

KT (030200.KS) said on the 12th that it has launched an Information Security Advisory Council to build an information protection framework that customers can trust. The move is aimed at preemptively responding to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats amid the accelerating digital transformation centered on artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing.
KT's Information Security Advisory Council is a body of external experts designed to respond effectively to a rapidly changing security environment and to strengthen information protection governance centered on improving security fundamentals and preemptive prevention. It reviews KT's information security strategy and major policies from an objective perspective, seeks measures to address future security threats, and supports the establishment of a global-level information protection framework.
The advisory council is composed of the nation's top experts spanning the fields of policy and institutions, technology and security, and industry and services. Its inaugural advisers include Park Choon-sik, director of the Korea Zero Trust Security Association; Jung Eun-soo, professor of digital security at Cheongju University; Kwak Jin, professor of cyber security at Ajou University; Yoon Myung-keun, professor of artificial intelligence at Kookmin University; Kim Hong-sun, adviser at Kim & Chang; Park Cheol-jun, professor of computer engineering at Kyung Hee University; and Choi Kwang-hee, adviser at Shin & Kim.
The advisory council will provide consultation to help KT establish and strengthen the implementation of its mid- to long-term information security strategy. Key advisory areas include: strategies for responding to future security threats such as AI-based attacks and the misuse of generative AI; policies for adopting and utilizing AI security technologies; building a zero-trust-based security framework; strengthening the response system for sophisticated cyberattacks such as ransomware; and measures to prevent security breaches and recurrences.
