不做 LS Eco Energy(229640.KS)
Lynas Rare Earths(LYC.AU)

LS Eco Energy's manufacturing subsidiary in Vietnam, LS Cable & System Vietnam Co., Ltd. (LSCV).
LS Eco Energy has partnered with Australia’s Lynas Rare Earths Ltd. to establish an integrated rare earth supply chain spanning raw material procurement, metal production, and permanent magnet manufacturing, the company announced on July 27.
Under the agreement, the two companies will make reciprocal investments of 30 billion won (KRW) each in convertible bonds (CBs). The deal follows a preliminary rare earth cooperation agreement signed in March.
Lynas is the only commercial-scale producer of separated rare earths operating outside China. Through the deal, LS Eco Energy aims to secure a stable supply of key raw materials to drive its rare earth business.
Rare earths are critical components in electric vehicles (EVs), wind power generation, and defense equipment. As China tightens export controls on strategic minerals, global competition in the United States and Europe has intensified to build supply chains independent of Beijing.
LS Eco Energy aims to become the first company outside China to produce samarium (Sm) metal for defense applications, while expanding its product portfolio to include dysprosium (Dy), terbium (Tb), and neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr).
Samarium is a core material used in samarium-cobalt (SmCo) permanent magnets for fighter aircraft, missiles, and radar systems. Dysprosium, terbium, and neodymium-praseodymium are essential for high-performance permanent magnets used in EV traction motors and wind turbines.
"We made a strategic decision to expand our rare earth business alongside Lynas," LS Eco Energy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Lee Sang-ho said. "By establishing a stable raw material supply chain, we will enhance our market competitiveness."
