韩华航空航天收到韩军多用途无人地面车项目开发商正式通知

Hanwha Aerospace (012450.KS) said on the 29th that it had received official notification from the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) of its selection as the developer for the military's multipurpose unmanned vehicle program.
Earlier, DAPA held a meeting of its Defense Acquisition Program Planning and Management Subcommittee and reviewed and approved Hanwha Aerospace's "Arion-SMET" as the platform for the military's multipurpose unmanned vehicle program.
In addition to this multipurpose unmanned vehicle program, which is considered a core asset of "Army TIGER 4.0," Hanwha Aerospace is carrying out the development and deployment programs for unmanned reconnaissance vehicles, explosive ordnance detection and removal robots, and manned-unmanned combined chemical, biological and radiological reconnaissance vehicles.
"We feel a heavy sense of responsibility in taking on the role of setting the standard for the deployment of next-generation unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) for the Republic of Korea's military," a Hanwha Aerospace official said. "As Korea's leading UGV platform company, we will complete a manned-unmanned teaming (MUM-T) system portfolio that combines with existing weapons systems such as the K9 self-propelled howitzer and infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs)."
Hanwha Aerospace will sign a mass-production contract for the Arion-SMET with DAPA as early as August. The company said it plans to swiftly launch mass-production procedures to minimize any gap in military capabilities.
