Femasys Inc. (FEMY) announced a partnership with UNC Health to introduce its fertility portfolio across UNC Health OB/GYN practice locations in North Carolina, enabling physicians to offer fertility evaluation and first-line treatment options within community-based care settings.
Under the collaboration, OB/GYN providers within the UNC Health system will have access to FemVue fertility evaluation, SpermVue male fertility screening and FemaSeed Complete, an in-office intratubal insemination solution designed as a first-line fertility treatment.
The partnership is intended to help patients begin fertility evaluation and treatment earlier in the care pathway, potentially reducing the need for immediate referral to infertility specialists or outside laboratories.
Femasys said its fertility portfolio is designed to provide a more accessible and cost-conscious approach to fertility care by combining diagnostic evaluation for both women and men with an in-office treatment option.
FemVue uses ultrasound to assess fallopian tube patency, while SpermVue provides an at-home male fertility screening option to help identify potential barriers to conception earlier.
FemaSeed Complete combines FemaSeed with FemSperm for in-office sperm preparation and handling, allowing OB/GYN practices to provide first-line fertility treatment without requiring referral to a specialist or external laboratory.
The collaboration will initially support fertility services across UNC Health OB/GYN locations, including communities where patients may face significant travel distances to access fertility specialists.
Femasys said the partnership represents an expansion of its OB/GYN commercial initiative, which was launched at the ACOG Annual Clinical & Scientific Meeting on May 1, 2026, with the goal of bringing fertility evaluation and treatment earlier into the care pathway.
UNC Health OB/GYN provider Dr. John "Jack" Coiner II said the technologies could give physicians practical tools to address fertility needs earlier and help expand access to fertility services in communities where distance to specialists can be a barrier to care.
Femasys is focused on commercializing its fertility portfolio, led by FemaSeed Intratubal Insemination, together with complementary diagnostic and sperm-handling products in the U.S. and key international markets.
The company is also advancing FemBloc, its non-surgical, in-office permanent birth control solution, toward potential U.S. FDA approval through the ongoing FINALE pivotal trial.
FemBloc received regulatory approvals in Europe, the UK and New Zealand in 2025.
FEMY has traded between $2.02 and $22.20 over the past year. Currently, FEMY is trading at $2.89, up 1.55%.
