Kia (000270.KS) is expanding its lineup of electric purpose-built vehicles, a business the automaker is cultivating as a future growth driver.
The company said on the 31st that it had released teaser images and a video of the Kia PV7, the second model in its electric PBV lineup.
The PV7 is a large PBV developed on E-GMP.S, Kia's dedicated electric vehicle platform for purpose-built vehicles. With the model, Kia plans to extend its electric PBV lineup into the large-size segment and respond to rapidly changing business environments and a wider range of lifestyle demands among customers.
The teaser highlights how a PBV can be flexibly configured according to a customer's purpose and use. It presents the PV7's space concept, which can serve work, transport and leisure needs, and emphasizes a bold, sturdy front and rear design along with a one-box side silhouette with stable proportions.
