Devsisters (194480) is launching a campaign to promote Korean World Heritage sites to coincide with the 48th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee being held in Busan.
Devsisters said it will run the "K-Heritage with Cookie Run" campaign in Busan starting on the 20th. The Korea Heritage Service is hosting the 48th UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Busan from the 13th to the 29th of this month. About 3,000 officials from approximately 155 countries are attending to discuss new World Heritage inscriptions and conservation measures.
At the Korea Pavilion of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee operated at BEXCO in Busan, Devsisters is exhibiting posters of 17 Korean World Heritage sites reinterpreted with Cookie Run imagery. The works were created by about 20 Devsisters artists. In addition, an imaginative illustration gathering Korea's World Heritage sites, titled "Cookie Run K-Heritage Theme Park," was exhibited at a width of 1.5 meters.
A photo zone and pop-up store were set up at the event plaza of Haeundae Beach. A 7-meter-tall cookie sculpture was installed in front of the Haeundae lettering sculpture, along with three photo zones themed on Korea's tidal flats, Seokguram Grotto and Bulguksa Temple, and Jongmyo Shrine. The pop-up store sells event-limited products and weekend-limited lucky boxes, and the entire supply of lucky boxes sold out within 30 minutes of the store opening on the first weekend.
The Cookie Run-themed Busan city tour bus program "Brave Cookie Tour in Busan" runs until the 16th of next month. Among these, the "K-Heritage Special Course," which visits the BEXCO exhibition hall and the Haeundae event plaza, sold out within three minutes of ticket sales opening on the 25th of last month.
On the 25th and 26th of this month, in collaboration with the National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage, cookie characters aboard a Joseon Tongsinsa envoy ship will be exhibited at the photo zone at Yongho Bay in Busan. From the 27th to the 29th, this will also be unveiled at a booth inside the BEXCO K-Heritage House.
For global users who cannot visit the site in person, Devsisters has also been running a "Digital Exhibition of Korea's World Heritage" through the official Cookie Run X and Instagram accounts since the 3rd of this month. The content, which unveils 17 World Heritage posters along with Korean and English commentary, has recorded about 8 million views on social media.
In-game promotions are also being held across three Cookie Run games. "Cookie Run: OvenBreak" is holding an event to complete a theme park illustration by achieving missions until the 29th, while "Cookie Run: Kingdom" is holding a puzzle event to obtain World Heritage poster decoration items until the 30th. "Cookie Run Classic" is running a World Heritage photo event until August 17. Brand collaborations with Photogray and Voila ice cream will also continue until August 16.
