The union argues that the Device eXperience (DX) division was sidelined during the wage negotiations that Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) management and labor agreed on in May. It also contends that the gap in compensation with the Device Solutions (DS) division, which handles the semiconductor business, is excessive.
Its demands include 1,000 treasury shares for each DX division employee, the creation and distribution of a common pool of funds based on a set share of company-wide performance, and a uniform base-up rate across the entire company.
