Hyundai Motor Group (005380.KS) said on the 14th that it is accepting applications for the second class of HINT, or HMG Incubation of New Talent, a job-skills training program aimed at developing young talent. Applications are open from the 14th through Oct. 5.
HINT was created to give young people hands-on exposure to the future mobility industry and its technologies, helping them build job skills and map out career paths. The program is part of the K New Deal Academy, a youth vocational training initiative run by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in partnership with companies.
The second class will enroll 500 unemployed young people aged 15 to 34. It consists of two tracks: "Mobility AI," which builds core technical skills in future mobility development, and "Smart Manufacturing," which covers the digitalization and AI transformation of manufacturing sites.
The program begins in late October with a three-day residential session at the Gyeongju campus of Hyundai Motor Group's Human Resources Development Center, followed by three months of commuting-based courses at regional training centers. The centers will be set up in seven cities nationwide: Seoul, Daejeon, Cheongju, Gwangju, Daegu, Ulsan and Busan.
Participants will take part in field-oriented programs including tours of Hyundai Motor Group's mobility manufacturing sites, lectures by current employees and hands-on vehicle training.
Applications for the second class can be submitted through the official HINT website from the 14th through Oct. 5. Final participants will be selected through a document review and a phone interview.
"The HINT program is a differentiated curriculum that reflects Hyundai Motor Group's own expertise in mobility and its know-how in field-based training," a Hyundai Motor Group official said. "We will continue to spare no effort in supporting young people so they can grow into future talent equipped with the practical skills demanded at industrial sites."
