Jacek Cirek, Head of Hanwha Aerospace Europe, delivers a keynote address.
Hanwha Aerospace said on July 8 that it is expanding local manufacturing and technology cooperation across Europe, including in Poland and Romania.
The company announced that it participated in the NATO Defence Industry Forum, held in Ankara, Türkiye, on July 7.
During a panel session, Jacek Cirek, Head of Hanwha Aerospace Europe, emphasized the importance of building resilient supply chains, expanding local manufacturing capabilities, and establishing joint development and production frameworks.
In Poland, Hanwha Aerospace has established technology cooperation and joint production systems through its K9 self-propelled howitzer and Chunmoo multiple rocket launcher programs. The company is also pursuing the establishment of a local joint venture for missile production and the construction of a production facility for Modular Charge Systems (MCS).
In Romania, Hanwha Aerospace is building manufacturing facilities for ground defense systems, including the K9 self-propelled howitzer, while also expanding defense cooperation across Northern and Western Europe.
Cirek said, "Hanwha Aerospace is committed to contributing to the development of a stronger and more resilient NATO defense industrial ecosystem."
