观察WeRide(WRD.US)公告后短线反应

Robotaxis from Pony.ai, one of China's leading autonomous driving companies, are coming to South Korean roads. The company plans to launch full commercial service in 2028 after completing certification procedures in the country.
FutureLink and Pony.ai signed a strategic partnership agreement at the Conrad Seoul hotel in Yeouido on the 28th, the companies said on the 30th.
The agreement centers on bringing Pony.ai's seventh-generation robotaxi to South Korea for commercial service. The two companies have been conducting technology verification in Seoul's Gangnam autonomous driving pilot zone and will now move to actual service operations. They also plan to establish a joint venture.
Pony.ai, a Chinese autonomous driving specialist listed on the Nasdaq in 2024, operates fully driverless commercial services in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
FutureLink, the autonomous driving subsidiary of KOSDAQ-listed Ponylink (064800), has been localizing Pony.ai's technology in Seoul's Gangnam district, accumulating about 80,000 kilometers of accident-free driving with modified Kona Electric vehicles.
The partners will deploy 200 vehicles initially, using models produced by China's BAIC Motor. FutureLink will handle domestic certification, market entry and service operations, while Pony.ai will provide autonomous driving technology and support local operations. Once certification is complete, the service will expand from Seoul to other major cities.
"Vehicle certification is the first step toward commercialization," Pony.ai CEO James Peng said. "After obtaining certification, we plan to deploy fully driverless robotaxis on Korean roads." Peng added that Pony.ai's ultimate goal is to make autonomous mobility available everywhere.
FutureLink and Pony.ai expect to secure South Korean government certification and operate fully driverless vehicles by 2028.
