新增信息为零,且事件本身为beat-and-lower(Q3营收/EPS创纪录超预期 vs Q4及FY指引低于共识),盘后冲高回落、仅约+1.5%,多空风险回报均不足。

Southwest Airlines Co.cut its guidance for the full year, as soaring jet fuel costs squeeze profits across the US airline industry.
The carrier now forecasts adjusted earnings per share between $2.60 to $2.85 for the full year. In July, Southwest broadened its guidance to $3.25 to $4.25 a share to account for uncertainty resulting from the conflict.
Southwest’s results underscore weaker forecasts from rivals United Airlines Holdings Inc. and Delta Air Lines Inc., with higher fuel costs eroding profits even at carriers benefiting from strong demand among wealthier travelers.

But the strategy is facing mounting pressure from a surge in fuel prices stemming from the war in the Middle East, which has added billions of dollars in expenses for airlines and forced carriers to raise fares and reconsider their flying schedules.
