不做 特斯拉(TSLA.US)
不做 大众汽车(VOW3.DE)

European car sales growth accelerated last month, extending a run of gains this year as buyers turn to electric cars, with Chinese manufacturers capturing much of the increase.
New-vehicle registrations rose 10% to 1.36 million in September, the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association said Thursday. That marked an eighth straight monthly gain.
Pure electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles accounted for 43% of the total, up from 32% last year after battery-car sales in France and Germany roughly doubled.
Record fuel prices stemming from the Middle East war are tilting the economics further toward electric cars, while incentives in France and Germany are helping whittle down their higher sticker prices. The same energy shock also risks squeezing household budgets and undermining consumer confidence, potentially weighing on demand for big-ticket purchases.
The stronger market offers some respite for European automakers like Volkswagen AG. Their profits are being squeezed by weak demand in China, trade barriers and pressure to cut costs at home. Yet the shift toward EVs is a mixed blessing.
VW and rivals including Stellantis NV and BMW AG still make less money on an EV than on a comparable combustion-engine car, meaning the shift comes at a cost. At the same time, BYD Co. and Chery Automobile Co. are intensifying competition on their home turf.
Chinese brands have more than doubled registrations so far this year, according to Bloomberg Intelligence, which expects them to capture much of Europe’s growth. Chery’s popular Jaecoo 7 is among the models winning out as buyers choose between the Chinese SUV or VW’s Skoda Elroq.
During September, Tesla Inc. continued its recovery with a 73% jump in deliveries. Among Chinese automakers, Chery led gains with a near three-fold surge that almost doubled its market share across Europe to 3.9%.
Europe’s struggling incumbent manufacturers are getting more political backing as job cuts across the industry accelerate. Earlier this month, the European Union and China in principle agreed on a deal that will limit China’s imports of hybrid cars to the region, after shipments surged.
France and Germany also clinched an accord that will see them lobby the EU to further water down tough CO2 limits for new sales of fuel-burning cars from 2035. Their common stance could also give momentum to proposed “Made in Europe” regulation aimed at strengthening local manufacturing.
