BHP Group’s Chief Commercial Officer Rag Udd will leave the company at the end of January, according to an internal memo seen by Bloomberg and confirmed by people familiar with the move.
The people asked not to be named as the note, dated Sept. 2, is not public.
Udd joined BHP as a mining engineer in 1997 and served in roles across the company before taking the CCO job in 2024, managing sales, marketing and procurement, among other sections of the business.
He had been among a group of senior executives considered to be potential replacements for former boss Mike Henry. The position ultimately went to Brandon Craig, then head of the Americas business, who became chief executive in July.
BHP did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
