不做 赛默飞(TMO.US)
不做 丹纳赫(DHR.US)

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. raised its revenue forecast after stronger-than-expected spending by biotech and pharma customers and a rebound in laboratory instrument demand helped pushed second-quarter sales past expectations. Shares jumped.
The clearest signal of increased customer demand came from the company’s Analytical Instruments segment, which reached its fastest growth in two years. Segment revenue rose 6.9% to $1.8 billion after staying flat in the first quarter.
“Analytical Instruments was the star,” wrote RBC Capital Markets analyst Dan Leonard. “This is the signal the market has been waiting for.”
“We saw spending pick-up,” Chief Executive Officer Marc Casper said about the company’s biotech and pharma customers on the earnings call. “It’s good to see that’s translating into the revenue.”
The Massachusetts-based life sciences company now expects full-year adjusted earnings of $24.93 to $25.33 per share, above the $24.86 analyst estimate.
The company also raised the low end of its revenue forecast by $100 million to $47.4 billion and left the high end unchanged at $48.1 billion with organic growth seen at the top of its existing 3% to 4% range for the full year.
Sales and earnings for the three months through June 27 bested estimates.
Shares rose as much as 12% in New York trading, recouping all of this year’s losses.
