KKR & Co.(KKR.US)
Blackstone Inc.(BX.US)

A KKR & Co. fund serving wealthy clients outside of the US has seen withdrawal requests drop, even as redemption pressure continues to build in the North American private credit market.
KKR-Income Trust I, a non-traded private credit fund for clients in Europe, the Middle East and Africa as well as the Asia-Pacific region, said investors sought to withdraw about 2.5% of its net asset value in the third quarter, according to a document seen by Bloomberg.
The fund had to cap redemptions at 5% in the previous quarter, and other private credit firms continue to gate their retail-focused funds amid pressure from investors.
“These results are no accident,” the fund said. “They reflect the rigorous underwriting and diversification at the core of our strategy.”

An early 2026 selloff from private credit vehicles in the US, known as non-traded business development companies, was initially sparked by fears that artificial intelligence could undermine software firms that are among the industry’s biggest borrowers.
Months later, the industry’s largest funds are still gating requests to exit. On Thursday, Blackstone Private Credit Fund capped after it got repurchase requests of about 10%. Cliffwater Corporate Lending Fund followed, after investors sought to pull about 16%.
The KKR fund hit its own 5% limit in the second quarter, when it had $10.5 million in outstanding withdrawal requests. The document said the fund will satisfy requests, along with those from the second quarter, totaling $34.7 million.
A representative for KKR declined to comment.
In its letter, the fund reported gains of 1.9% in the second quarter and an aggregate average net asset value of about $1.4 billion at the end of that period. It noted annualized net total return of 10.3% since its inception.
Second-quarter exit requests left more than $14.5 billion of investor capital trapped at over a dozen funds, compared with the $8.6 billion that shareholders were able to get back, Bloomberg reported in July.
