UBS Group AG has made a series of senior hires for its investment bank with the goal of strengthening its industrial coverage in North America, according to a memo seen by Bloomberg.
The bank has hired Matt Parr as vice chairman, global banking Americas and head of Midwest banking, focused on diversified industrials, automotive and advisory opportunities across the Midwest industrial economy. Adam Reeder is joining as vice chairman of global industrials group from Rothschild & Co, focused on building products, materials and broader industrials.
Both previously worked at UBS, according to the memo co-written by Philippe Chryssicopoulos, global head of global industrials group, and Emre Gunalp, Americas head of global industrials. Reeder is joining this month and Parr will start in November.
A spokesperson for UBS confirmed the contents of the memo, while declining to comment further.
The bank is also hiring Justin Kish and Evan Bergelt from Rothschild as managing director and executive director, respectively, with the former working on building products and materials and the latter on industrial distribution.
Pierre Bosse is joining as a managing director focused on energy and power, while Christian Hartenberger is hired as a managing director with a focus on aerospace and defense. All four had previous experience at UBS.
Jeff Vergamini and Brian Willer are coming on board from Deutsche Bank AG as managing directors, with the former focused on industrial mergers and acquisitions and the latter on automotive and mobility.
