Daiichi Sankyo (4568.T) announced that the first patient has been dosed in a first-in-human Phase 1 trial evaluating DS1025, a potential first-in-class CD25-directed antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), in patients with advanced or metastatic solid tumors.
About DS1025
DS1025 is designed to target CD25, a protein highly expressed on regulatory T cells, which can suppress immune responses against cancer.
The investigational ADC uses an immuno-oncology-optimized cytotoxic payload designed to deplete immunosuppressive T cells in the tumor microenvironment and potentially enhance the immune system's ability to detect and destroy cancer cells.
Currently, no CD25-directed ADCs have been approved for any cancer indication.
Phase 1 Trial
The multicenter, open-label, dose-escalation study will evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and preliminary efficacy of DS1025 in patients whose disease has progressed after at least one prior line of standard therapy.
Primary endpoints include safety, tolerability, dose-limiting toxicities and adverse events.
