花旗韩国CEO柳明顺将于10月任期届满后卸任

Yoo Myung-soon, chief executive of Citibank Korea, will step down this October, declining to pursue a third term.
According to financial industry sources on the 30th, Yoo announced through an internal email that day that she would step down at the end of October, when her current term ends.
Yoo took office as Citibank Korea's CEO in October 2020 and successfully secured a second term in 2023, serving two terms. Her current term runs through October 27. Having joined Citibank in 1987, she is a corporate banking specialist who served in roles including the corporate review department, the multinational corporations department, and as deputy president of the corporate banking products division. She became the first female CEO in Citibank Korea's history and the first at a domestic private-sector bank.
During her tenure, she oversaw the phased withdrawal from the consumer finance sector. Earlier, parent company Citigroup had decided in 2021 to exit retail banking operations in 14 countries as part of its global strategy.
Yoo is credited with restructuring the business around corporate banking and diversifying its revenue base. Although the bank faced temporary earnings pressure during the consumer finance withdrawal, it subsequently maintained profitability centered on corporate banking and non-interest income, completing the business realignment.
Following Yoo's decision to step down, Citibank plans to immediately begin the process of appointing a successor. "We will immediately launch the process to select a successor CEO to ensure there is no leadership vacuum," a Citibank official said.
