WSJ汽车与交通行业每日综述:加拿大汽车关税威胁、ADP评级上调、全球NEV份额数据等多条杂项汇编

本条为WSJ每日Market Talks综述汇编,包含多条独立杂项。其中最具潜在交易价值的加拿大汽车关税威胁已于同日12:51 UTC被另一条信号处理并判AVOID(威胁非实施政策、距截止日4个月、行业视为谈判策略)。

The latest Market Talks covering the Auto and Transport sector. Published exclusively on Dow Jones Newswires at 4:20 ET, 12:20 ET and 16:50 ET.

0733 GMT – Aviation investors can’t agree on where airline stocks are heading, though the overall mood is slightly pessimistic, Citi analyst Conor Dwyer says. While large investors are placing huge bets that airlines will do well, others are betting on the opposite and the instability is making stocks jump around wildly, the analyst says. Ryanair, Air France-KLM and IAG have seen the highest proportion of positive bets, with sentiment toward Lufthansa and Wizz Air being more pessimistic, Dwyer says. “Investor sentiment across the sector is becoming more debated, with short and long crowding metrics rising across most of the sector month-over-month,” he says. Lufthansa rises 2.5%, followed by Ryanair, up 2.2%, and Wizz Air, up 2%. Air France-KLM is down 0.3%. (anthony.orunagoriainoff@dowjones.com)

0655 GMT – Aeroports de Paris’s share price doesn’t reflect a postpandemic rebound in tourism flows through the group’s travel hubs, Deutsche Bank says, lifting its rating on the stock to buy from hold. Regulatory clarity is meanwhile on the horizon, likely dispelling some investor fears, Deutsche’s Harishankar Ramamoorthy says. Deutsche lifts its target price on the French group’s stock to 130 euros from 110 euros. Shares closed at 112.50 euros on Tuesday. (joshua.kirby@wsj.com; @joshualeokirby)

0621 GMT – Airports of Thailand stands to benefit from a higher passenger service charge and other tailwinds, ttb wealth securities’ Saksid Phadthananarak says in a research report. The airport operator’s earnings are likely to grow 7% this year, driven by effective cost controls that keep employee expenses flat and a 53% increase in international passenger service charge, effective from late June, the analyst says. Also, King Power’s 9 billion baht debt repayment to AOT last month should ease market concerns about the financial position of King Power, which operates duty-free concessions at some airports operated by AOT. The brokerage raises the stock’s target price to 75.00 baht from 65.00 baht with an unchanged buy rating. Shares are 0.4% higher at 66.50 baht. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)

1746 GMT – Canada Industry Minister Melanie Joly didn’t mince words: the threat posed to Canada’s automotive sector by President Trump “is real,” and she’s connecting with the senior executives at auto makers with factories in Canada. Trump threatens to double the tariff on Canadian-assembled cars to 50%, and apply the same duty on previously exempt auto parts. She says she’s spoken to the presidents of the Canadian units of Ford Motor, Toyota and Honda, adding the federal government will deploy the tools available to help the auto sector “weather the storm.” (Paul.Vieira@wsj.com; @paulvieira)

0932 GMT – Chinese automakers’ ability to expand overseas is set to become the defining factor in the global new-energy-vehicle race as growth in the domestic Chinese market continues to slow, according to research company TrendForce. Global sales of battery electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids and hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles rose 10.4% on year in 2Q. Including hybrids, electrified vehicles accounted for a record 33.2% of global auto sales, TrendForce says. China’s share of global NEV sales fell to 56% from 66% a year earlier. BYD regained the top spot by battery EV sales, while Leapmotor climbed to third place for the first time. Volkswagen dropped out of the global top-10 list, highlighting intensifying competitive pressure from Chinese brands, the research firm says. (jie.yang@wsj.com)
